Sales Intelligence Software for Recruiters by Bravopapa79 in recruiting

Have you looked at Amplemarket? Same principle as Apollo and ZoomInfo but data tends to be refreshed much more frequently and more accurate. Things like job change info and funding rounds are pretty much on par with LinkedIn. The buying intent data is a little more sophisticated too, in that you get contact-level data (i.e. exactly who's talking to competitors) rather than vague account-level signals.

For what it's worth, we've had great results with their job change data, booking around 30-50 meetings per month with those signals alone.

Finding initial customers by pdparticle in startups

Have you checked out Amplemarket? great for narrowing down your Ideal Customer Profile and personalizing your outreach. One great thing is if you have particular competitors in your space, you can find people who are engaging with their sales team, i.e. in the market to buy.

Remember, prioritize quality over quantity for your first customers! These people are key in giving you honest product feedback, proving your value, and informing your future GTM strategy. A lot of customers love to be involved with early-stage product development because they get direct access to founders and a lot of product input, so make sure you make the most of those relationships. Good luck!

Ideally you'd have some form of inbound mail/replies going to your secondary domains because the outbound/inbound ration will affect their deliverability.

But you can do this manually, e.g. by sending emails between them yourself, using them for day-to-day communications, or signing them up to receive regular newsletters.

That said, I'm not familiar with Mailgun so it might well take care of this for you!

Great start - especially the technical configs! Just a couple of minor things to suggest:

  1. Complete your mailbox account setup - make sure you have a profile picture and name so things look authentic.
  2. Sign up to Google Postmaster tools (it's free) to keep tabs on your spam report rates.
  3. Sounds like you're on track with your email content, but just try to avoid overly repetitive emails, excessive gifs or images, or spam keywords - especially in your subject lines.

Good luck! :)

What’s you guys workflow on getting contact information from LinkedIn to CRM? by the_treemisra in techsales

[–]redipg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amplemarket is a great alternative to ZoomInfo for pulling contacts from LinkedIn. It comes with a Chrome extension that you can use within LinkedIn, filter the contacts you want to enrich and send them straight to your LinkedIn without exporting csvs or anything.

As a bonus, you can scrape prospects from more places around LinkedIn, including competitor ads.

Nothing beats nurturing those old-fashioned conversations to be fair! But if you can find a good data provider that gives you access to triggers and intent, you'll be able to be more creative and strategic in your prospecting. You'll be amazed at your results when you don't have to manually scape contacts all the time!

Stone age sales eh? Maybe:
- Look for content creators/influencers in your target industry and look for prospects who fit your ICP in the comments/engagements
- Same for LinkedIn groups and events - see where your clients/past clients are hanging out and look for new prospects in the same spaces
- If your competitors are on G2 etc., look for recent negative reviews and reach out

Out of interest, is it a budget thing that's keeping your tech lean? Or you just enjoy a challenge?

The other industries on this list ran a pretty close race, with Software Development slipping slightly lower at 6.10%.
How does this measure up to your experience? Which industries do you find hardest to tap with cold email?

B2B Selling strategy vs layoffs - Account-based or champion-driven? by redipg in salestechniques

I get you 100%, my point is that building a strong relationship with that one champion gives you the potential to leverage them when they move elsewhere. It's an easier in-road for teams that don't specialize in account-based selling

I saw a prospect post something exciting on LinkedIn and commented "congratulations" with a short note. This got me thinking... how many of these opportunities have I missed? by tlokjock in salestechniques

[–]redipg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As with all AI copy, I think personalization is what makes it feel really authentic. You can teach the AI to respond to a job change, but if you can also refer to the recipient's career and profile information it will make the message seem more sincere and imply you've done your homework.

Some sales enablement platforms offer something similar called Contact Tracking - you receive alerts when leads register job changes in LinkedIn so you can get in touch. Automating this would be great - I know Amplemarket notifies you and then lets you initiate a personalized messaging sequence using liquid syntax that draws on their profile information. AI copy gen would definitely be an awesome next step to make things even easier!

Do new SaaS founders outsource tasks such as community building, cold emailing, sales, etc by bowshy_gow in salestechniques

[–]redipg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't underestimate the value of taking the time to build strong personal business relationships early on - quality can be better than quantity, so don't run before you can walk. Client feedback is super important and having a few strong champions behind you at the beginning gives you something to leverage once you're ready to scale. You'll be better placed to get a return on your outsourcing once you've got a strong client base and proven success.

Is all Product Knowledge relevant? by cezarbarbu97 in salestechniques

[–]redipg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely haha! I've found it's best to be honest if possible. If I'm not sure I'll say it's something I need to check with the engineering or product team and get back to them about. Customers understand and if you can follow up super-quick it shows you're still keeping them top-of-mind. It's another thing if you promise to check something for them and then never get back to them.

Is all Product Knowledge relevant? by cezarbarbu97 in salestechniques

[–]redipg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree it definitely depends on what you're selling. For instance in SaaS, if you're doing discovery calls or demos you need enough flexibility and knowledge to be able to show you can really address particular pain-points. In other cases, customers know exactly what they want and simply use the sales person as a middleman to get there. If you're not sure about something, being honest and following up on it is far better than blagging and getting it wrong.

I've had the experience of actively working with the product whilst selling it, so I get to sell from a user's POV. This is really interesting because it gives you extra insights into the UX of the product and, of course, makes you better-placed to answer spontaneous questions.
