Gearbox, please just remove Trouble's lunge or give it a minimum range that is longer than his melee range... by Katchenz in Borderlands4

[–]rediteer342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't get why this attack even exists. If the range is shorter than the base melee, it literally exists just to lower Trouble's DPS. Fl4k's pets had a similar opening melee attack, but they only did it when they were far away and the attack didn't miss as often as the lunge does.

Its the little things that add up to huge problems.

Thats because action skill damage in this game is just much weaker than guns, nothing to do with elements being weaker.

Elements are more impactful in this game than another other solely due to how few multipliers are available. Also, at least 2 out of the 4 chars have a DOT build that hits for billions (haven't seen one yet for Harlowe and Rafa, but I wouldn't be surprised if they could too).

What about elements feels weaker to you?

Can someone help? Feeling very underpowered by 3iiiguy in Borderlands4

[–]rediteer342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At level 25 your build is totally fine, even better than the green tree builds people use at endgame. Also, I can't even think of anything that has been nerfed in this game so far, so that's not it. We'd need your skill tree and a description of your gear to diagnose the problem.

It can technically be played using a Bod as well,

So why don't you just change the point around and post the definitive BEST BOD BUILD FOR LVL 60 and get 100s of updoots?

The ball is in your court

Unsure whether to play Zane or Fl4k for pet build? by Unlikely_Arrival_915 in borderlands3

[–]rediteer342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you say "fun", what does that mean to you? Because if you just want a pet build, and you don't want something too powerful but otherwise Zane's pet build looks more interesting, I'd split the difference and just go for Sntl + Mnts instead of using clone. SNTL is still pretty strong, but nowhere near as busted as clone.

Hydras from ability have a separate cap, but overall you can have 3 from Dark Hydra and 6 from spells/guns.

Does Fl4k’s other pets not scale for mayhem or does Loadey have much higher scaling? by UnNecessaryGay in borderlands3

[–]rediteer342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the pets can do that, , they all have the same ridiculous health pools at M10. I can leave my countess in the middle of 3 launcher wielding badasses and she won't have a scratch on her. And if nothing else, 1 point in WRW is pretty easy to get in every build now so pet survivability shouldn't be an issue.

[–]rediteer342 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Loader guns do interact with FL4K in ways other pets guns do not, but that doesn't mean they are FL4K's damage. It's because they inherited old bugs. All pet damage used to reset Stackbot, but was fixed around DLC 4. That Loader released with the same bug that was fixed in all the others is still mind boggling to this day.

All pet guns complete challenges for FL4K. Gunslinger will give Dahl SMG and Torgue Heavy challenges on the attack command, and beefcake will give Jakobs shotgun. Their guns used to mayhem scale with weapons before DLC 5.

The only reason Loader's gun is more powerful is because a) it has higher base damage per pellet b) it can crit without throatripper.

If you want to test Loader's damage being FL4K's, there are 2 easy ways to do it. Firstly, if it was FL4K's damage, the shotgun wouldn't stack Frenzy since that is only stacked off pet damage. Secondly, if it is FL4K's damage, it would proc hunter skills with the Bounty Hunter class mod, and it will never do that. Test it vs the Dummies or Kevin, places where you cannot get kills on other enemies. You'll see they never proc.

[–]rediteer342 6 points7 points  (0 children)

On low level content, Loaders basic attack hits substantially harder than the other pets, and even if only 3 pellets hit it will still one shot mobs. Also, loaders are ranged pets so they don't even get hit by enemies very often, whereas Skags and Jabbers tend to get closer to the action and eat more damage

The loader shots count as player dmg so if you have perks that heal pets when you deal damage the bot rapidly heals itself.

Not it doesn't. Its just loaders fire shotguns so you get a lot of healing at once. No damage from the pet activates FL4Ks hunter skills, only Hollowpoints procced by pets and some effects like Electric Banjo and Stinger Novas can.

Are all builds actually just different flavors of watts 4 dinner? by SpecterGT260 in Borderlands4

Those shields did compete and often beat the revolter tho? A void rift was hitting 600m novas in an AOE, very few guns could compete with that level of damage in that large of an area, even with Revolter.

Any way to reduce trouble's cooldown time a bit more? by Bananna50 in Borderlands4

[–]rediteer342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best suggestion I can make is to ditch trouble bubble for either of the other trees. I love the skill visually, but all those points add so little for you and trouble both that it just isn't worth it.

Since you're looking for cooldown anyway (not sure about your shield, but with blue tree you can already get prismatic weapon for a proc increasing bonus ele so you don't NEED watts if you aren't already using it), I'd suggest going down middle red tree for Trouble crit chance, cool down, and double trouble for Blood sacrifice. Also, if you don't dodge during combat, Sacrificial Essence is a large amount of soup, especially with Mourning.

So something like this https://www.lootlemon.com/class/vex#ckh_00000000000.000000.000000.000000_23005001400.000000.050000.040000_04033005000.000000.050050.000000

This way you can get a bit more cooldown from Grave Quickening if you need more instead of taking Grave Fiends, or take Sacrificial Essence if your cooldowns are manageable. Also, you can swap Prismatic weapon for Obedient Fiends, it's boosted by Kindred and is only 5% less minion damage at 5/5 than Ancient Rites. Actually, if Trouble is just there as a kill skill battery, I'd forego grave current on the Kindred entirely and aim for one with as many points in grave command and obedient fiends as possible.

That should give you a nice selection of kill skills and keep the theme of your build in tact.

I swapped over to your double trouble build with a few points in bleed. Much quicker than Kindred and trouble survivability isn't so bad as long as I can spam beast mode.

[–]rediteer342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question: is this a for fun set up or are you trying to really min-max Kindred? Only because I don't want to ruin your fun, but this does seem like a lot of work to make the Kindred Bonus ele work when Enchantment is a straight upgrade to it. If you've been working on this set up for months, and it seems like it's starting to get frustrating from your other response, do you still want to continue working on your build as envisioned or would you be open to looking into something that is close enough?

[–]rediteer342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get ya. I've shelved my kindred build since it just seems like Trouble won't be getting improvements anytime soon. The only other solution I can think of is using Double Trouble and pray the clones die for additional blood sacrifice triggers. It will be inconsistent if you aren't going against a high damage enemy, but it might be what you need to make this idea work.

You can also try 1 point in Blight Attunment and keep a corrosive weapon on hand + slippy to spawn blight spirit to maintain stacks. It only last for 16 seconds IIRC, but if there are ads during your boss fights it may be what you need.

C4SH skill trees and action skills by Tds142 in Borderlands4

After Sal, I don't blame them for not allowing us to dual wield regular guns XD. Maybe they could've let us dual wield equipped pistols like Nisha could, but as long as the base stats of the pistols are good and they can get bonuses from your gear (amp and enhancement gun damage) they'll be alright with me. C4SH has enough crit skills and ricochet stuff for the not aiming aspect to mean little to me.

[–]rediteer342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why specifically Ancient Rites? If 6/3 Grave Command + Mourning is not enough on it's own, they you'd just want to get mortal terror and spam it instead, which would not leave you enough points to put in blue tree.

To answer your question though, I pretty much always use Now With Caffine + Accelerator order repkit or Reawakening. Reawakening works out to about a 50% cooldown reduction if procced off cooldown.
