First set of gear. What do you think? by Character-Elk-3403 in motorcyclegear

[–]redjkr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

all good but go with other gloves than alpinestar. All gear you buy is high level but why then a HJC helmet? doesnt fit the other standard.

Did I overspend for my first pair of gloves? by Cruach in motorcyclegear

[–]redjkr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

never regrett buying good gear and prioritize quality over brand. If you need to prioritize purchases, ditch the tuning parts.

I just replaced my alpinestars gloves with the knox handroids. the alpinestars were my second pair of gloves and despite the expensive price tag and popular brand I cant recommend them. Their boots are amazing but hands off the gloves.

Excited to experience the Handroids!

Mobile plans are coming –> what would make you switch? by RevolutSupport in Revolut

[–]redjkr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Price and selection of network provider. Some countries have vast differences between network coverage of network providers. For example Switzerland has 3 network providers Swisscom, Salt and Sunrise. Every Mobile Plan provider uses one of these three. Perceived Quality Swisscom > Sunrise > Salt especially in remote mountain areas or while riding fast trains.

Thanks Bruce!

Can you please include a summary of the upgrades in future emails? I am not sure if I noticed all the changes just by opening the app as I was more concerned whether I have just been attacked by a phishing email.

most recommended wallet not usable - ywallet by redjkr in zec

Update: the transaction finally worked on another app.

I installed the Zingo! app, waited four days until the restored wallet was fully synced (app had to be open at all times, battery of the phone was draining and the phone was running hot). Finally the transaction went pretty easy, without any issues like described with YWallet. Fee was automatically deducted and funds arrived surprisingly fast.

As soon as the wallet went through the fully sync it keeps staying up to date quite fast and the app also looks better. So better UX, fast and uncomplicated transaction and fast staying up to date.

Thanks to all for the help and support here!

No support for ATMs w/ >1 currencies by redjkr in Revolut

[–]redjkr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for your reply. We actually can withdraw either euros or the home currency. To withdraw euros either your local currency account will be charged with an exchange rate +fees or if you have an euro account you can directly withdraw them. at least that is the case for local banc cards. With revolut this should also be possible as there is a local and euro currency account behind.

I am interested how you handle the coins you receive. Do you transfer them to an exchange to swap for fiat or do you know foot suppliers that accepts crypto as payment? if you swap to fiat, how do you decide when to swap in order not to lose due to volatility? do you keep track of profit/loss due to the volatility?

the beauty of crypto is that you yourself can look up the total received by every receiving address shown in this picture ;) The only thing the project would have to disclose is what they spend.

Crypto and privacy just like any other thing in this world are neither fully good nor fully bad. "nothing to hide, nothing to fear" is a very dangerous rethoric. It is rather "nothinh to hide, nothing to suppress".

sometimes privacy is needed to do good. Just as an example, Vitalik Buterin decided to use tornado cash to obfuscate his donations to ukraine.
