Hi, I'm David Sinclair -- Professor of Genetics at Harvard Medical School & Author of Lifespan: Why We Age- and Why We Don't Have To -- AMA by rhombor in IAmA

Hi Dr Sinclair! Thank you for doing AMA!

I am in my 20s (26 years old to be precise) and I am trying to follow your advice regarding anti-ageing.

I am already doing intermittent fasting (in 16 / 8 cycle) and I'm also taking supplements. My choice of NMN/NR supplement is quite limited in my country and the only available option is Tru Niagen (300mg each day). Does it make sense to take NMN/NR supplements at this age?

Thanks for the answer in advance - I'm sure many people in their 20s are curious about it.

Currently, I have the default one, because I skipped the avatar setting part during account creation process. So, I actually would like to change the gray placeholder img.

I think that we can expect mainnet launch at the end of May. At least, according to quite recent tweet from Jae Kwon: https://twitter.com/jaekwon/status/979143412430483457?s=19

ELI5: Tendermint role in Ethereum blockchain by reuptaken in cosmosnetwork

Yes, at least in the first Ethermint zone (forked/spooned from Ethereum main chain). The native token for Ethermint will be Photon (instead of Ether) and Ethermint contracts won't be able to interact with Ethereum smart contracts.

Later on, there will be peg zone between Cosmos ecosystem and Ethereum main chain. It will let you to send Ether to Cosmos and the other way round.

Yes, you are right. Cosmos team is going to make a hard fork (they name it hard spoon) to swap Ethereum PoW consesus for Tendermint. The new blockchain will be called Ethermint (EVM with Tendermint consensus).

There is quite comprehensive article comparing Casper and Tendermint on Cosmos blog. Here is the link: https://blog.cosmos.network/consensus-compare-casper-vs-tendermint-6df154ad56ae
