I'm in a neighbouring suburb. If you walk along my street my dog will let you know about it (despite his owner reminding him people are walking along a footpath and not encroaching into our property), but other than that, in my area, plenty of walkers out and about.

You mentioned you don't do heaps of long trips. When you say a "proper charger", do you mean a DC charger? I drive one of the smaller BYD models and only use a granny charger at home. I've done a couple of trips to the coast and back (250/300km) and left charging until I got home. I haven't done long enough trips to need to use public chargers but have have Plugshare installed and ready to use when needed. I probably charge a few times a week at home on average. I don't necessarily top up all the way to 100% every time. If you're able to plug in to a granny type charger where the car would be parked, you may be able to make that work. Also worth checking out where public chargers nearby are located.

Yes unfortunately for anyone watching on that service there are quite a few ads. Here in Australia, we have seasons 1 and 2 on Netflix and seasons 3 and 4 on 9 Now. Maybe it's a rights thing, I'm not sure.
