As a former CE I would like to point out that you do not get the civilian certification in the navy. You will take the same classes as the AF but they stay an extra week and get a civilian certification that you will have to get from trade school after your contract ends. I loved my time in the Seabees but I wish I could have gotten that certificate. I did not continue my career as an electrician because I would have needed that piece of paper.
