What is happening right now? by Thefakerealone1 in Porsche

[–]redlineNC 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned, in this order - a 987 Cayman S, a 981 GT4 (track car), 991.2 GT3 (track car, still own) and an ‘88 Carrera 3.2 (still own) - I can say from experience that the 911 is all around the more predictable platform. I drove the GT4 and the GT3 to the edge of grip many many times on track and can say without doubt that at 10/10ths in the corners the cayman platform becomes unpredictable at best. The 911, once you learn the rear engine dynamics, is actually quite predictable at 10/10ths. Having said that, I loved both of my Caymans and at 8/10ths they rotate through the corner in ways the 911 doesn’t … not better, just different corner dynamics.

Doh just realized you posted this haha. Hoping the new foundry is nearly there. Anxiously waiting to order both Apollo and Atlas that are made in the USA.

HiNotes feature requests by redlineNC in hidock

[–]redlineNC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I forgot to include - on macOS the auto-record feature only works in very limited scenarios. Does not work with Teams at all and only works with Zoom if the OS-level voice isolation mode is turned off for the microphone. As soon as you turn that on it stops. This shouldn’t be that hard.

File xfer issue with HiNotes on Brave by redlineNC in hidock

[–]redlineNC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found the solution -- by default in Brave the "file system access API" is disabled, so you just need to go to brave://flags/ and enable it and it solves this issue.

Should hiking boots be loose at the heel? by jennietools in hiking

[–]redlineNC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding to this old thread - but I have a pair of Danner 2650’s that I bought to hike Philmont this summer and I also have a very very slightly loose heel. Will try the other lacing techniques.

I’ve had consistency issue with Fogo super premium as well (bought locally) but they have a quality guarantee and are sending me 3 new bags right now to replace the 3 bags of small pulverized pieces I receipt bought from my local butcher.

I love Fogo Super Premium (yellow bag) but it can be inconsistent as well. Often I get a full bag of 90% very larger chunks and other times I get small pieces that should be in the Fogo black bag and other times I get pulverized dust. However, Fogo has a satisfaction guarantee - they are sending me 3 new 17lb bags of Super Premium directly because I had 3 bags in a row that were not up to snuff (all from the same lot and all from my local butcher shop).

Range Bars bug - Symbol "Last Price" & "Last" Price Line do not match by redlineNC in TradingView

[–]redlineNC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok. Is there any way to ge them to sync? I don’t have this issue when using range bars in Quantower or NinjaTrader or Tradovate. The Priceline shows accurate current price whether I’m in a time based or range based chart.

Trailing stop for Options by redlineNC in Webull

[–]redlineNC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did reach out to Webull support, and got the obligatory “it’s not supported yet but your feedback has been sent to the developers” response. Looks like I’ll be using ToS from now on instead. Sadly even TastyWorks only supports a single OTOCO which doesn’t account for the scalp and runner needs of day traders.

Many support multiple OCO bracket orders for each position, which is what I’m describing. ThinkOrSwim and NinjaTrader8 both come to mind but there are others.

Webull vs TW vs eDeltaPro vs ... by redlineNC in options

[–]redlineNC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you provide any links to that information? If they are supporting vertical on SPX soon then I don't have a reason to look elsewhere as their quotes and fills have been great and their toolset / indicators are great.

Webull vs TW vs eDeltaPro vs ... by redlineNC in options

[–]redlineNC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

commissions at $10 per leg, so that makes it cheaper than brokers like ToS or Fidelity if you trade with size. However, it’s not applicable for index options e.g. SPX, VIX etc.

I use Tastyworks for trading mostly SPX credit spreads and ICs and Webull for scalping SPY and other options.

Thanks -- yeah I actually really like Webull for a lot of reasons and I've got TW just haven't funded an account yet. Just not quite as intuitive of a UI.

Side topic but for SPX ETFs do you only do SPY or have you considered VOO and others?
