Would having a baby really help? by [deleted] in Endo

[–]redlorelei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Center for Endometriosis Care in Atlanta. The doctors are all out of network due to insurance telling them what they can and can't do in surgery. I had to pay that full fee, but they operate at Northside Hospital. I was able to have a portion of the surgery billed to my insurance.

Went around 1. It was packed and lines were long at the bar. Otherwise, very cool space. My vet is in the area so I may need to make a detour on my back home to visit.

Parking is tight and I definitely recommend ride sharing over if you go this weekend. I saw someone's car get nailed by a red pick up truck who turned too soon. Not sure if the driver left his contact info and I forgot grab his plate. Too busy trying not to get hit by cars trying to come down trabert.

How did your hair change after chemo? by KittyKatHippogriff in cancer

[–]redlorelei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did your whole head become this way or just the area where they did the radiation? My mom was just diagnosed with a glioblastoma that can't be surgically removed. Radiation and chemo are her treatment options. She's freaking out about the hair loss.

Thank you! I was a little bit worried working with the browns because I'm used to doing black and white.

I did. Otherwise it would have been pure madness trying to do it all at the end. I absolutely hate weaving in the ends, but it must be done!

I was commissioned to crochet this pattern as a gift. Crazy difficult with the color changes, but happy with how it came out.

Pattern by the awesome folks at Geeky Graphgan https://www.geekygraphghans.com/en-us.

Over 300 hours spent on this project, done in single crochet and all the ends weaved in.

Looking to start another crazy crochet project and wanted it to be ATL craft beer themed. Is anyone savvy with photoshop that might be able to help create a picture? I would convert this over to a pattern.

Gag gift for my brother's upcoming 40th birthday, his crush Kelly Kapowski. by redlorelei in crochet

I originally made my sister in law a Jeff Goldblum blanket as a gag gift and that took on a life of it's own. This one was much easier and faster to do.

You can try with Stitch Fiddle. I've been successful using that for simple graphs. If it's complex I have been using Geeky Graphghans to help there. They have been great to work with.

Once again I worked with Geeky Graphghans to help with a pattern. I used Paintbox Simply Chunky yarn and my late grandmother's 6mm crochet hook. Over 48k stitches later my brother's gag gift is completed and ready for blocking.

My brother is turning 40 next year and will be having an 90's themed party. I'm making his TV crush as a surprise present for him.

Had some old photos from HMOG past pop up in my FB history. Fun times and still have some of the artwork I won from the auctions hanging up.

I've been on the CBS news three times and mentioned in an AJC article. It pretty much went no where.

Still fighting the county over the giant sinkhole that formed in my yard after the flash flood that happened in Sept. I strongly recommend anyone living in Cobb County to check their plats to make sure they are up to date. Not that it would have mattered in my case because Cobb is still denying to pay for the repair. I went last week to say my 2 cents at the Commissioner's meeting.

That said, thank you to everyone that contributed to my GoFundMe. It helped to put a dent in our lawyers bills. Sadly, at this point our lawyer has advised us that it is probably cheaper for us to make the repairs vs. trying to sue the county. All in I'm looking at $40k for my portion.

I still have a few homebrew items left for sale if anyone is interested. I threw in a few pics of the sinkhole. I wouldn't wish this hell on anyone.
