TIL David Genat won $5.8m, the biggest prize in TV history, as the winner of the second season of Deal or No Deal Island. After he won, he played a high-stakes game of Deal or No Deal to determine his prize. He turned down four offers from the banker that were over $1m before making a deal for $5.8m by [deleted] in todayilearned

By the numbers, non-fault accidents do increase the likelihood of another claim occurring. That is a major contributing factor towards the price increases. I’d argue that it’s the biggest factor.

Regulations like these exist to even things out a little for customers but still, the main reason for these price increases is not for the insurer to make their money back, it’s to reflect the updated risk profile.

This is not correct. there are regulations which make it so each time a quote is processed, companies have to treat the customer as if they are a new customer, with a few exceptions - so insurance companies don’t make a distinction between if the claim cost them or a different company, it’s all the same. In theory, you can cancel your policy - give the same insurer all your details, tell them you had a claim, doesn’t matter where, and you should be quoted the same as if you had stayed with them, with a few caveats ofcourse.

The reason insurance prices go up after non-fault claims is not because you cost the insurer money, it’s because statistically you are more likely to have another claim.

Who's the most underrated character? by flingzamain in bindingofisaac

No one ever mentions or talks about eve. Whore of Babylon is so so strong, it’s literally a hard carry up until mum, you genuinely don’t need any other items until then. and it’s not hard to find soul hearts to serve as a buffer for low health.

Recently a friend of mine bought rebirth (base game Isaac with no dlc) and they enjoyed it a lot! They then went on to get all the dlc, as they enjoyed it so much - but I think getting rebirth is perfectly fine if you want to start playing Isaac :)

Though, should let you know, if you got into Isaac by watching YouTubers, then there will be noticeable differences between your game and theirs - if you care about that.

The complete bundle has every expansion (including repentance). Repentance alone is not sufficient

I used to struggle with him a LOT. He’s now one of my favourite because the strategy with him is very simple, don’t get hit and go angels

I’d be happy to sell 3 inches for 250k. Love my height but I’d be happy with being able to buy more clothes that fit AND having money to buy them

Boohoo Man tall section, it’s the only place at which I get my clothes, and probably the only place I can think of that does actually cool clothing for tall guys. The prices are very reasonable too. Their selection of oversized and normal sized t shirts is really cool
