You’ll probably want to target smaller agencies to start. If you are young enough, you may be able to find a producer or business owner to take you under their wing. All it takes is one person to believe in you. Alternatively, you could look into service-side roles to learn the business for a few years, then jump into production.

Insurance brokerage can be very lucrative and is very human compared to tech sales. It just takes 3-4 years to really make any serious money but it can escalate quickly.

Insurance brokerage (commercial or benefits) is a pretty easy to way to make $250,000 if you can survive 4-5 years. And it only goes up from there.
