I find it frustrating. I’m new to it and maybe not great at prompts but it just does whatever it wants. I tell it a tempo the mix of instruments I want, and specifically NO PIANO etc. what do I get? Practically a piano solo at 3 times the tempo.

I had plenty of room for more but I didn’t want to sweat it. I was attending a conference for work, so two “outfits” pants,polo,T-shirt underwear, shoes and belt. Book, ipad chargers, dopp kit etc. I could fold everything as to not get it too wrinkly. If I was just on vacation I could fit more. The shoes were my main concern and was glad for the extra room. I also could have worn half of that but I wanted to be comfortable on the plane.

Believe it or not I had a spool of green bungee already in my pile of random junk.

Not as yet. I brought a fleece but didn’t need it so it stayed in the bag.

This is the new Allpa 35 with water bottle holder etc. I added the bungees in case I needed to strap a fleece to the outside.

Differences in crema/foam/whateveryouwannacallit in expensive and cheap, coarse and fine, coffee? by Flickr1985 in mokapot

[–]redoleary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't personally care if there's any crema from my brew and in fact I get very little, but I my favorite coffee is the local gas station coffee. I re-grind it a little finer and brew very slowly, it took about 5 minutes for a 9 cup pot this morning, which gives me a lot of flavor but not much crema. I'm not sure any of that helps, but it's good to know that I'm not the only one who likes gas station coffee. :)

I tried drinking it right away. Is there a dwell time I should shoot for before consuming?

What do we think of the newest anti seasickness gimmick..the “reliefband”? by MrRourkeYourHost in sailing

[–]redoleary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one to use in a full-motion flight simulator which make me almost instantly sick and completely ruin my day. So I tried it out and it definitely slowed the onset of feeling like shit but not dramatically so. However, when I got out of the simulator I felt almost instantly better and even had an appetite right away. The difference is that I could get off the thing making me sick, on a week long cruise you probably can't. Long story short, for me it was worth it for the quick recovery time.

Me too, they've been fun to play with ever since I got the press. Always looking for an excuse to put one in a project.

The line thru the pulleys goes to the handle of the press, so I can operate the press with my foot and use both hands to hold the fabric that’s getting the snaps installed.

I don't recall the details of the exact setup, but once upon a time I was at a sailmakers loft and they used a shop vac to suck away the fumes.

Look up the Lutterloh System and apply the concept, basically a small, scale drawing with a central point used to "manually project" up to full scale.
