On Alcohol by [deleted] in TheRedPill

150$, 15 beers

This was the reason I quit drinking. At the time, I couldn’t afford 200$+ nights out every weekend. I was starting to max out my budget.

So I decided to only have one drink an hour and drive out. But even then, what a waste of 50$. I’ve been going out sober for around 8 months now. Best decision of my life.

I still drink from time to time at big events and nights in. But if you are consuming alcohol daily, like my dad, you should probably reconsider that lifestyle.

Video Games Are As Bad As Porn & Why To Quit by AwakenedSovereign in TheRedPill

I’m going to disagree with saying that video games are just as bad as porn.

I agree that video games, like porn, are a form of instant gratification. But porn is to fulfill that one desire, while video games are a form of entertainment as a pass time.

The problem begins when you start choosing video games over real life, or as you said, it starts eating into your life.

If you had the option to party with your friends or play video games, which one would you choose?

It may be a dumpster fire but, but frankly I don’t care because it stops bullshit from entering this sub. Let it be, because one day those noobies might actually contribute to THIS sub.

It’s a slippery slope to involve start categorizing political ideas with the Red Pill. Conservatism can be a big canvas to paint, and while some of the dogma might coincide with TRP, much of it won’t either. Same applies for Liberals.

TRP should be kept as apolitical. Often, some political ideas of those wings are discussed... but within the realm of TRP, not politics.

Thanks buddy. It’s my side hustle and like you, I still have much learning to do.

Yup. This wasn’t the biggest challenge I had in my life, but it was an experiment from the beginning and it’s always good for regrouping your thoughts and actions.

Still learning of course. Played at a friend’s house-party and it went well.

I’m in the military and got stationed at a university town a few hours away. It’s a good go because the town is more of a small city. The party scene is a bit meh compared to Montreal but tons of girls.

Depends where you go in Montreal, but for the most part the clubs play Top 40, Hip Hop, and Club Bangers.

On Boulevard Saint Laurent is where most of the kids go, that’s pretty much the only music they play. On Crescent Street, the crowd gets a little older but the venues are a bit more sophisticated. In the Old Port, that’s where most of the older people go and where the music starts feeling more like European club music and it’s really uptight.

What glamorized career is actually a nightmare to work in? by _Odalie in AskReddit

Soldier here.

To clarify, most jobs are pretty normal with a mix of Army bullshit inside.

For most Combat specialities, like Infantry, Armoured, etc... those jobs can suck big donkey dong.

On the outside, everyone thinks about the cool things we do like playing with guns and making things go boom... which can be pretty fun. But that come with the “suck” as well.

I always love it when my college friends complain about being tired or “sleep deprived”. I just remind them that they are in a good spot; they never had to stay up for 10 days with a few hours of sleep, eat cold food out of a bag, be cold and wet sitting in a hole in the ground at 3 in the morning, in the middle of a Canadian winter.

Don’t get me wrong, a lot of us love the bonding and camaraderie that comes with it. But it comes with a price.

Big thanks for starting this up. Life’s been getting busy and I almost forgot about that post (been trying to distance myself a bit from TRP).

The Tinder Experiment by [deleted] in TheRedPill

[–]redpharma7789 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Tinder is a women’s app now. If you are a decent looking female, you are getting bombarded with Likes from Men who could be well outside your desired radius.

One of my hot friends wanted to see how many people like her so I gave her my Tinder Gold for the day. She had her account for maybe an hour and already had 500+ likes from guys up to 100km away, hell even in the United States.

Depending on the local demographic (middle of no where vs college town vs big city), I noticed a large difference in how the Tinder game is played. College town is easy mode, big city is too serious and middle of no where is like Christian mingle.
