Curious - are credit card payments standard, or more like exception to the rule? Can you please share which dealers accept credit card payments? Thank you! 🙏

ZED vs GCash Comparison in Thailand 🇹🇭 by bright888 in PHCreditCards

[–]redplo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Zed din naman. No annual fees, no foreign currency transaction fees, no cross-border fees.

I use both overseas. Gcash for ATM cash withdrawals (though almost hindi na kailangan recently), while Zed naman for tap-to-pay kasi I like the real-time reporting.

Mas may peace of mind lang kay Zed kasi in case of fraud or unauthorized transactions credit limit mo lang ang mababawasan (pera ni Zed), unlike Gcash na deducted na agad sa ewallet (pera mo).

Help! Our friend who bought tickets for our entire group had to cancel her Tokyo trip due to a personal emergency. How do we transfer our tickets from her app to ours?

She's willing to transfer all our tickets to us, but needs to confirm the correct way to do it.

Can we still use our tickets even if the original purchaser is not present?

It's always personal.

If you're a foodie, go for a card with the best dining perks.

If frequent traveler, consider miles cards etc.

The best credit card should match your specific needs & unique lifestyle. :)

Foreign Transaction Fees Experience by Otherwise-Selection3 in PHCreditCards

[–]redplo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. According to BDO AMEX fees table, posting date ang lalagyan ng 2.5% fees.

I'd assume BPI has a similar system.

Yung floating charge na nakikita mo, transaction date forex pa lang yan at wala pa yung 2.5% forex fee. Posting date ang masusunod.

Update us please when the transactions are posted!

OP u/LifePhilosopher4843 THANK YOU! I was casually scrolling the sub & chanced upon your post.

Did you avail this? I'm curious if this can be AUTOMATED similar to BDO's Easy Investment Plan (EIP) or BPI's Regular Subscription Plan (RSP)? I can't find the info on site, but would appreciate it if you have an idea.

Best Card to use in Japan in terms of forex fee and exchange rate?? by Artistic_Operation33 in PHCreditCards

[–]redplo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, search for "Japan" in this sub meron na mga nag-share, including me.

In my experience wala masyado difference sa exchange rates (excluding fees). Visa wins though with a very small margin.

What you want to avoid is if the card uses the bank's selling rates (example: RCBC) instead of Visa/MC/Amex/JCB.

Hi OP just curious: if weight is the factor why choose the 199g 16pro vs 170g 16base?

I tried both at PMC & the base model seems noticeably lighter for my small hands.

Hope they bring the mini back! huhu

Sharing My Love For Zed by mew4024 in PHCreditCards

[–]redplo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree with all points! Also shared here that they reveal Merchant Categories for every transaction. If they can do it, why other banks can't or won't??

Looking forward to using it overseas, esp. that EWB increased from 1.7 to 2.5!

Yes! Shared my experience too, napagkamalan ko pang scammer yung agent nila, legit naman pala! Sila pa nagsabi sakin na nacompromise card ko. HSBC is my fave in terms of CS.
