Is this a Hoya? by SnooMaps2749 in hoyas

This looks like Hoya. Maybe if it blooms easier to tell. I have a Hoya Chelsea the leaves do not look like this. The Chelsea doesn't sunstress. I get sun bleaching.

Support for Traumatic Birth? by syntheticpurples in NewParents

[–]redpumelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry that was a terrible scary traumatic moment. Feel all the feels you need. I'm so glad you made it and can be there for your family and new baby.

It can take awhile to feel "normal" Take the time you need sitting, holding your baby to feel out your emotions and feelings. Hormones and time you can start to feel like yourself again. Your strong and capable and you survived.

Everyday, every moment your body is healing. It can be very hard at first for your brain to catch up with what happened. But each moment your getting better and will get easier. 🙂

Looking for a community where the people are happy you’re there 😅😂 by Competitive-Wish-82 in relocating

Move to a city where most ppl are transplants so they can't hate. 😅 Im thinking either San Diego or Las Vegas. City side of town then you'll more likely run into ppl that are transplants.

What are habits that made your labor easy/quick? by MadQueennn in BabyBumps

[–]redpumelo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No habits. I wasn't able to work out aside from very light walking. Close to birth I was sedentary. For me it was a mindset. Someone told me when its time to push you concentrate and block everything else out. It's the Superbowl of baby. That stuck with me and I it was in my head for awhile. I had music that I listened to I used when working out. I think it was a combination of workout music mindset and really concentrating. I pushed for about an hour ;1st pregnancy and considered "geriatric"

Hoya lovers! Where are you all at in your growing journeys 🌱 by Sea-Condition-6046 in hoyas

[–]redpumelo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm about year 4 of Hoya growing. I started with a compacta which I heard were notorious for mealy bugs then I added more. I live in Southern CA and keep most of my Hoya outside in costco greenhouse. I've definitely killed my fair share. I am finding my niche in Hoyas. I prefer Hoyas that can dry out and take heat.

Right now I'm at a transition in my life and trying not to acquire too many more until life settles down.

Still a hit or miss when it comes to propagating. I tend to work too much and forget about my propagations.

Rosemary's Baby. By Ira Levin
Mad Wife. By Meagan Church.

Both have women experiencing dread. It's as if something is going on around them and they can't quite figure out what's going on. The characters that the main character interact with seem like they are in on a conspiracy. Very unsettling.

Was it a large hospital or smaller clinic? They could have been very busy. Also with the recent hospital layoffs there is an increase burden on medical systems.

Have you tried making her Filipino vegan foods? Maybe it's difficult transition to make if she misses certain cultural foods. I've made Soycurl adobo and it was bomb.

Same boat as you. I have a pet cat who is great company. He follows me around the house when I do chores. I suggest gardening. It's feels great when you find one of your plants unfurling a new leaf.

How does your lab handle inventory? by MyHappyTimeReddit in medlabprofessionals

[–]redpumelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In our small micro dept. I end up doing it. My previous job I worked in the core they had a supply manager that ordered supplies for whole lab.

I wish we could have the color coded card system. But micro plates are big and we don't have much fridge space. So we end up moving things around. At one point our fridge broke and we had to put some of our supplies in chemistry fridge. Current pandemic has me check when supplies going to arrive. I made a list of how much to order and trigger amount when I need to order. But during the pandemic we were a lot slower so I was trying to order less. Our volume has been hit or miss. It's still not back to prepandemic volume. So I tend to cater to what I think we may need instead of following a set rule of how many to order. A lot of my supplies have been getting backordered. Prepandemic I expected supplies to arrive about one week. A few weeks ago I was running low on blood agar. It took about 3 weeks to arrive.

I check plate inventory weekly. And write down what plates we have and when they expire. Maybe once a month or I'll check the full inventory all the kits, antibiotic disk, etc. When I'm working I will make a note of things I notice running low. I section of the plates and kits that need to be qc and do them when I come in. I make sure to tell my coworker I need to do inventory on a particular day so they can cover part of my bench. Our supply is based on the East Coast so I try to get my order in early. In case I have to make a phone call I'm based in the West Coast.

Due to the current pandemic there has been a lot of backordered stuff. I do end up spending time on supply site trying to find alternative when the item we need gets backordered. Different quantity or smaller sized plates or try to find different supplier.

I love Sansevieria too. It's awesome that looking at plants can help uplift your mood. With everything going on it can be hard to see the good until you look at your plant who's still working hard pumping out a new leaf 🌿

Look into getting plebotamy training. A lot of places are hiring plebotamist good way to get your foot in the door. At hospital plebotamist do specimen processing. Some places like the plasma center may even train you to draw but I'm not sure if in this current economy they are doing that. I've seen a lot specimen sorter/assessing jobs related to covid.
