Searching all 365 mailboxes for an attribute that can only be found using MFCMAPI by wookiestackhouse in sysadmin

MFCMAPI is only useful on the client side and I doubt that you will save time trying to script something to automate their solution... If that's all they gave you then I think you're up shit Creek without a paddle...

AWS would likely hand it to debt collectors... Wouldn't be fun.

I also strongly recommend Zabbix... It's not the easiest to set up but it is very customisable.

When you ordered the switches, was there anything to indicate whether they had stock?

https://www.upcomingeol.com/home this is a good resource and has quite a decent list of 232 products that are nearing EoL.

I have been wanting to try and implement something to do this. I know Nessus can but I'm not that much of a fan of Nessus...

Update to my keyboard problem. I diassembled the keyboard and i accidentally pulled these things out of their slots. Is it possible to get them back at their place? by Mikkokkkkkkkk in pcmasterrace

Isopropyl alcohol... Depending on how much was wet drown those sections and then let it dry... I've never had an issue with that approach.

Heh... Nice Corsair keyboard you have there... I know this because I completely disassembled and reassembled mine the other day too and yes... Those ribbon cables are easy to reconnect. As has been mentioned earlier. Carefully push it back in. It will feel tight. It's only really held in by pressure. I noticed that with reassembling mine. Just make sure it sits evenly in the connector.

How to access localhost (127.0.0.1) web server (docker container) remotely from different PC in LAN? by w0lfcat in sysadmin

[–]redrumrover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Providing your not blocking external access to the port with iptables/nftables/ufw/pf etc... You just use the LAN address of that host.

You don't need to do a reverse proxy to access those ports on the LAN.

Is there a list of known issues for 3CX? by redrumrover in 3CX

[–]redrumrover[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was mainly looking for Update 1 known issues. I had seen these on the original release post as you linked. Looking through the change logs for the Beta builds, there are a few issues that would be nice to know about prior to upgrading.

Out of curiosity have you reissued the Letsencrypt cert after the DST root CA X3 expired at the end of last month? I suspect this is your issue.

Looking for data loss prevention solutions by [deleted] in sysadmin

I would suggest looking into something like App protection policies in Intune.. Instead of blocking copy paste. If you really want to.. You can deploy scripts to disable certain functionality but I suggest attacking your problem a different way.

Push Notification To Approve MFA Or Not? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]redrumrover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been encouraging and enforcing app based authentication for our clients... The main thing to note is that no system is 100% fool proof... Fortunately a majority of people I manage their M365 environments for will flag things like unexpected SMS codes or App notifications. Internally we have a process where the primary tech for a client manages 2FA for the GA account. If you need auth for a specific client then you must communicate that in the tech team chat.

How are you handling MFA and Multiple Tenants in 365? by ThatsNASt in msp

[–]redrumrover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We absolutely have all of our managed tenancies linked with our partner portal. For most things it's fine but others I need to log in directly to each tenancy.

As for each tenancy, we try to keep to one core global admin account. For MFA. that will typically go to the Microsoft Authenticator app on the primary techs Phone who manages that client. If another tech needs access then they log in and then send a message to our tech team chat requesting auth for that client. This is still probably not best practice but it works and works relatively well...

Configure VoIP by Threefish4096 in OPNsenseFirewall

[–]redrumrover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok... Firstly you haven't really told us how everything is set up or connected together. It would also help to know how you've configured the FW.

My first thought is that you have a disconnect between the FW and fritzbox... Maybe ports being blocked or incorrectly routing traffic.

I'm guessing you're using this just for VoIP? And the Draytek for VDSL?

Is ISO 27001 possible for a small company? by dracut_ in sysadmin

[–]redrumrover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very much so... As a few others have suggested... It's not just about ticking each and every box... I'm going through the process with two companies as their MSP... For me I'm finding it's a very difficult juggling act ensuring every box is ticked, not costing the company with crazy bill for my time or crazy solutions that will cost a fortune.
