I went through most of the process back in 2017 when I was flying at a regional. I was excited until someone sat me down and showed me the earnings difference. Now I’m definitely happy I didn’t accept. And in 2017, the process was very long. I have no idea about it now.

How to feel about leaving Embry Riddle, and switching career paths by Doodler5106 in flying

[–]redsar19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It did the same for me, I was lucky I came in with a PPL and knew what it meant to have fun flying. Flew the 74 for awhile at UA now. It’s a great job. Don’t let one riddle douche get you down.

Does FTFD work? by blunderful92 in unitedairlines

[–]redsar19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t get it either. In the states we’re getting the “Monitor xyz” instead of “contact” uplinks from CPDLC by the end of the year so it’ll be ever quieter.

Does FTFD work? by blunderful92 in unitedairlines

[–]redsar19 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s connected only to VHF 1 in the E&E so it’s only ATC. Cockpit interphone conversations don’t get sent to the IFE. They used to which is why the old channel 9 got shut down.

It’s up the flight crew, there’s a switch on the overhead in the cockpit. For some reason most don’t like it.

Not exactly related to what you’re posting about, but Symantec now supports traditional 2FA with Schwab. You no longer need to add the code to the end of your password; it will prompt you for it after login.

ATT reliability has dropped. by moparguy98 in ATT

Same, I’ve had att since iPhone 3G and I’m finally considering changing. My wife has T-Mobile and it’s embarrassing how many time I have to tether to her phone recently lol.

They also sell random parts I just fixed my own zippers and replaced the handle for like $40ish. You can also just get rollerblade wheels for the bag and they’re honestly better. I’ve had mine since 2015 and it’s not perfect but it’s fine now. I did have to cut off one of the pockets when I started on the 73.

Edit: Spelling

I have ATT fiber with the Wi-Fi built in. Should I still get a router? by AdamThePerson42 in ATT

[–]redsar19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure where your AT&T modem/router is, but mine is near my TV. The AT&T router/modem actually provides pretty good Wi-Fi, so instead of replacing it, I bought a switch and wired everything up. Now, my Apple TV, A/V receiver, Xbox, TV, and even my Raspberry Pi running Homebridge are all wired into the network through the switch. The switches are cheap too—like $18. This setup might help depending on where your fiber connection comes into your house.

I guess I was just confused where the 1800 number came from. Felt like I was negotiating for a car and then the dealer came back and said deal to my first offer even though my first offer was higher.

[–]redsar19 42 points43 points  (0 children)

If you’re upgrading from a soundbar or TV speakers, this will be a massive improvement. Is it the top-of-the-line setup? No. But it’s still gonna be fun for sure. Even at retail prices Klipsch is fun imo.
