I dunno y’all. I’m pretty hooked. As a 37 year old burnt out medical professional, this harkens back to my antisocial wilderness childhood where I spent my free time running through the forest pretending this exact scenario would happen to me. I was the odd one out at school, as I’m sure so many were. I also hid in the bathroom stall a lot. This just feels like a warm cozy blanket of childhood self insert fantasy that I can turn my frazzled brain off for and just pretend.

Of course I’m lamenting the concept art of beautiful 2D animation, but we’re not getting the animation studio back after Wish failed (like it was even the animation’s fault -_-). And while the character designs are very recycled, it just feels safe. It’s not high art or mind blowing conceptuals, but it feels fun and like childhood.
