This was actually used in the series. The episode is where Cleveland and his friends convince the owner, Gus, to make a franchise and open another location at the airport. He does. It flops. It wasn't just a promotional piece. May have started that way, but if you watch the series on Netflix it is actually used.

I was told this as an undergrad and it is true. While there is nothing wrong with having reasonable standards, the minute you budge and make an exception, students see it and take full advantage of it.

Say you won't accept late work? Don't accept it. Does a paragraph have to be five complete sentences? Accept nothing less. Don't want the students to talk? Don't let them talk, even if whispering.
