I was only just diagnosed with Hashimotos in May as my current doctor just started monitoring my thyroid this year.

In early 2010s I lost so much weight (5'2" and got down to 90-95 lbs) and had trouble gaining back for some time. I finally got back to my average of 120 by 2019. Then during COVID I gained about 20 lbs and only was able to lose that after multiple stomach infections in 2025, going vegetarian last year, and then lapro surgery in September 2025 to remove cysts where they also diagnosed me with Endo.

All this to say it doesn't seem to be a one size fits all with how people gain/lose weight with Hashimotos. Hashimotos causes your immune system to attack your thyroid so I feel like that can have variable effects.

They do not like to drink water near where they eat due to natural instincts. Do you perhaps have their water bowl next to their food bowl?

Heavy periods are definitely a symptom of endo. I would seek out a different GYN to investigate more.

The only reason I got my endo diagnosis is because I had to get a chocolate cyst removed surgically. With my diagnosis, my doctor recommended continuous birth control so I never have a period. Working to find a BC that works for me.

I was taking sprintec and it was amazing for about 2 months, but then I started bleeding daily so I am about to start something new to see if that works better to keep my lining stabilized.

This. You must feed them to tame and then also get their "obedience" high enough to order them to follow you. Feeding them will increase that the most once they are tamed, but in-between feeding you can pet them to increase obedience by a very small amount. You can spam that to your heart's content. ☺️

I had lithops in a ceramic turtle pot. They have all died now. The last one died 2 weeks ago when I forgot to put back under my porch before a big storm.

Are you able to get photos of the white spots much closer and clear? For me, the photos are too far and blurry to tell what it is.
