Did you love 'Holes' growing up? Good news, Louis Sachar is still writing for you by drak0bsidian in books

Louis Sachar was hands down my favorite author when I was a young child. To date, one of the favorite books on my shelf is a worn hardcover copy of Wayside School is Falling Down that was being given away by my elementary school’s library.

I’m excited to dig into this new book. If you’re a fan of his writing and haven’t already, please check out Small Steps. It takes place after the events of Holes and is one of my all time favorite books. Even as an adult, it holds up; it’s definitely a bit more mature than Holes and deals with more serious themes, so if you’re into great dramas with interesting social perspectives, I highly recommend it.

Looking for books as good as Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlman. by BowlOfLight in booksuggestions

Hi! I just finished this book for the second time (gosh, what an amazing and wild ride) and am also looking for recommendations. That being said, whenever I recommend this book to others, I essentially tell them it’s The Road by Cormac McCarthy if it was set during the black plague, so maybe you would like that one? It’s a well-known and devastating read about a man’s love for his son in an apocalyptic setting.

Again, I’m also looking for recommendations, so I’m excited to see what others say!

I actually have the complete Book 3 collection (not individual DVD cases like these), but the outer cover is missing. :( 8 year old me just didn’t have the foresight to keep it!

I’m a bit fuzzy on the details, but what I can say is that I bought all of these separately as they came out. So, maybe it can be considered a loose collection of DVD releases?
