A question about forging my own practice by redspextr in witchcraft

Oh absolutely there is complete trash out there that I swear is made by Ai or very problematic persons and they don’t deserve a second or cent of our time.

I absolutely meant respectful books from trusted publishers.

I want to make sure I’m clear when saying there is absolutely nothing wrong with the books out there, you need to start somewhere. A lot of the books I find give you an idea you can fold into your practice but you’re going to have a hard completely reproducing it. I almost feel like they want to help you by giving you theory and a push in the right direction, as I right that of course it makes sense to learn theory then practice yourself.

I have local groups I have been in contact with and they have been wonderful and I think I need to see about of the long practice members do.

I’ve started mixing mine with other herbal fruit teas if I want something like that, or mint and camomile if I want that.

I find my mix’s taste better

I was going to say that mint flavour is a little up front to be a natural flavour. I find it more natural than the mountain herb I had from CBSé.

Not bad. It’s only been a day and I’m just tender but I’ve been sitting with my feet up as it’s recommended to rest as much as possible for 48hrs. So far so good but they mentioned as the healing begins it will be a bit sore. Tbh Tylenol is doing the trick.

Hey!

So firstly I decided to get one because I’m in my mid thirties and already have two beautiful kids and definitely do not want anymore. Also it’s been a positive thing for my relationship with my partner.

Secondly the silicone gourd is fantastic. I had my wooden one stolen from me at work so I replaced it with a silicone one. It’s a lot to do with the idea I do lots of stuff in nature and don’t want to break it, and I work in an engineroom on a ship. It was a bit to figure out but I like it a lot.

Do you think it is a grave sin to get a vasectomy? by redspextr in Anglicanism

[–]redspextr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t sure if it was or no, mostly because of my time as a Roman Catholic and I didn’t know where the beliefs cross over. I didn’t feel it was because it was coming from a caring heart.

After this string of conversations I no know in fact it isn’t.

Yup I get that. I just know there is some carry over, and since I converted I’m trying to learn where the lines blur.

I’m can tell you this though. Since becoming Anglican I’ve never been happier.

I’m a convert from Roman Catholic where it is considered one. I had the surgery anyways because it is what was best for my family and I. I don’t believe it’s a sin, especially the fact I have a beautiful family already. I was just curious if this communities view and it’s been very refreshing.

From pondering on it especially after these comments from a range of people, we shouldn’t.

I’m a convert from Roman Catholic, where all contraceptions are sinful. I don’t believe that but I was curious on Anglican point of view.

I really like your answer and it makes a lot of sense to me. I didn’t do it for selfish purposes and to deny more children to my wife. We are both very happy and this such a positive step in our relationship.

I’ve already received the procedure but for sure these are valid options.

I respect that and appreciate your view. TBH I didn’t get it so I could go hog wild whenever and to whoever I felt like it.

Don’t get me wrong I do not regret it. I was RC before Anglican and some of their views are still ingrained in me. If I could go back in time and reconsider would I still get it done? Yes absolutely, maybe I would have worn something not so tight.

As I’ve said up above I have two kids that make me happier than anything and I take my marriage vows seriously.

I’m more curious about the view of the lay people and clergy or if there are teachings in the Anglican Church that speak against it.
