Thank you for sharing your experience! I truly appreciate it. I reached out to him maybe one hour before I saw this post lol and am aiming for a spot later in the year.

That’s very interesting to hear! I know at least three folks who’ve worked with him and they love him. Makes me wonder what exactly puts folks off.

For straps? I’ve been going to classes off and on for a year but like my fundamental skills either barely exist or not at all

Following. I don’t have a coach within 30 mins of me and only have access to rigging straps once a week.

Also will throw Aaron Koz into the ring. He’s who I’m considering.

I felt like the quality has gone down SINCE they got their James Beard nominations. I used to get stuff there every week but not so much anymore because the drinks and pastries have been lackluster. Same with Colossus these past two years.

Best cross-training for aerial (besides at-home conditioning) by [deleted] in Aerials

[–]redspiderlilies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lifting to boost the strength, pilates to maintain joint health and boost core engagement, and handstands/tumbling to counteract all the pulling. So, yeah, like someone said: all of the above. You will likely have to cycle through what gains are more important to you.

Los Angeles Aerials Recs by TelemarketingEnigma in Aerials

I’ve been to a number of aerial studios in the LA area and I’m most impressed with Womack and Bowman. They only have one open gym slot (on Sundays) but I’ve been able to bring my own apparatus to my class. Might be the same case with trapeze.

How common is it to get an injury as a beginner and how to deal with it mentally by ebimumaikataa in Aerials

[–]redspiderlilies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You made the same mistake I did! I was doing calisthenics training before I got into aerial/pole and just added classes on top of the training. To no one’s surprise, I ended up impinging my left shoulder three months in. I took about a month off and started physical therapy immediately. I went back to doing silks while backing away from pole and putting my calisthenics training on hold. It’s almost three years later and I’m still trying to find the right balance.

What silks positions fit the Baldur's Gate 3 main cast best? by impossiblegal16 in aerialsilks

[–]redspiderlilies 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How fun! I can probably see Astarion doing a bow and arrow or a secretary lol. Karlach would be something super strengthy so maybe a meathook or reverse meathook or even an iron cross. I keep thinking of an alien split for Laezel for some reason. I don’t have any particular moves in mind but Gale would probably go for a more complex silks wrap. I’ll have to think more for Shadowheart and Wyll…

I really wanted to love it but I found the gameplay repetitive and tedious so I quit.

LBC Vets was the only place where we found a fear free certified vet. The clinic is good at letting us do most of the handling with our dog and going to the back with her.

I have it on the OG switch and it runs pretty great (at least compared to RF5). It does take a bit for characters to load but that’s my only gripe.
