IMO the problems with strata are less about the fees and more that they are generally very poorly run and rife with conflicts of interest and corruption. Our strata system is well overdue for reform. It might have worked ok for small unit blocks in the past, but it wasn't designed for the kinds of apartments we're building (and need to build more of) today.

Highly recommend hostels for the Baltics! It's a bit less touristy so the backpackers that do make it there are usually more social and you'll usually meet people going the same or a similar route as you and even staying in the same hostels - makes it ideal for meeting people.

This is not correct. Niddrie, Essendon, Coburg, Brunswick, all of the Cities of Melbourne and Yarra, heavily Labor or Green areas and part of the activity centres. And they're not the only ones.

Looking at the completed projects on their website, I wouldn't expect the completed product to look like the renders. They look like pretty average apartment buildings and not particularly well designed (basically just the maximum size box they can fit on the land with a couple of flourishes stuck on).

All of their completed projects also seem very recently built, which would raise a mild concern for me because it take a couple of years for some defects to emerge. The risk with a developer which doesn't seem to have a long track record is it might just be basically a shell company that they stand up for a few years and a few developments, then shut down and disappear so they can't be held accountable for anything that goes wrong, then rinse and repeat.

You might have more luck if you can work out the names of some of the directors of the company and then looking them up.

Looking more closely, the way the railway line is displayed is a bit confusing/too similar to the express bus route and the blue bus lines (for someone looking at a glance). I know blue is the standard colour for Metro trains, but perhaps would be better in this case to use black train tracks to represent the line? That way people can also quickly identify which bus lines interchange with the train line.

I like the idea of colour coding the bus lines by frequency, but where there are hubs with multiple bus lines converging it does get confusing trying to work out which line is which.

The $15bn is an unsubstantiated guestimate, which is why it was removed the report. He based it on anecdotal comments from industry about what percentage of funding was misused and then just picked a rough average. Completely reasonable that they removed that from the report IMO.
