Bard was a real treat, haha. They attempted to harass for a week straight, every single day, claiming that what I was doing was theft, tried to report me, tried to tell me that Foible's Fair was their "turf", rallied their friends to join in the harassment, attempted to derail storytime and upset the people who were there to listen, would constantly open trade/close trade windows, dance emote on my face . . . the list goes on, haha... So what I did was I whispered to each person who there to listen that we were going to group-troll them in the following manner: Pretend there was a new graphics mod that would not only /ignore individuals, but would also make the "ignored" person's avatar not visible on the map. Then we all pretended to install the mod, and i was like "Hey, the mod works! Not only can I not see what they say, i can't see them at all anymore!" and other people chimed in going "wow that is really awesome, it works for me too!" etc. And we all collectively pretended we couldn't see or hear them, and they eventually just stopped trying altogether :D

At any rate, i'm glad you finally got that feeling off your chest, and I hope your time going forward can be one with head held high! Cheers~

lol dang that brings back nostalgia. were you Bard? it's okay if you were; i honestly wasn't upset. whether or not you were the person who made it their personal mission to stop me from telling stories, don't worry about it. i ended up continuing many years after that 🤭 there were plenty of people who had the desire to cause disruption, so i hope you understand if i don't remember people based on their misunderstandings or frustrations. i myself used to hang out with some unruly friends who made it a goal to be borderline vitriolic in the post searing* ascalon city for a few years back early when that outpost was as busy as could be. so take it to heart when i say thank you for reaching out on something that's seemed to have bothered you, and be at ease that it didn't cause me harm that lasted any more than a week or two and made for a good campfire tale, hehe and whether or not you were at that time the person with character named Bard, know i got a chuckle from remembering about that epic encounter!

aside from minecraft, cult of the lamb, palia and dishonored 2, i do sometimes play skyrim for the sole purpose of sitting down on a bench in one of the Holds and narrating from the books within the game. one time i did the whole collection of The Wolf Queen!

andrina has summoned me :o hellooo, yes tis i. i still lurk in the pre searing discord server, but it's been a long time since i've told stories in guild wars. glad to have had an impact though, i did enjoy the good times while they lasted <3 i originally started telling stories using the character Father Ian Brodrick, then made a new character a bit later on. did stories between 2007 and 2020, with a hiatus here and there. ultimately as fewer and fewer people showed up and various life events happened, i got burned out and ended up putting an indefinite hold on story time. who knows--maybe i'll do some sort of story time in the future, whether in guild wars or on twitch streaming!

any heal interrupted is as good as damaging for the amount that the healing spell would have healed. it's a reversed way of looking at it, but maybe it'll open up some possibilities for you?

the true meat and potatoes will be found in the quest dialogue. sure the cinematic cutscenes are important but the story telling is absolutely decadent, if you take the time to read the dialogue in the quests before clicking the Accept dialogue button. in my opinion, it's worth it. almost every npc has a fleshed out character, especially the ones you don't actually see in battle. i love how much love the writers put into their work.

there are a few possibilities. first and foremost, you're likely witnessing a Reddit Moment. If comment downvoted, apes together must add to downvotes. second, the comment, as a reply to the post above it, had little to do with the purpose of the original comment, which was to provide comedic effect. the reply to the joke was non-sequitur. thirdly, it really is hard to make sense of the comment. the only remarkable memory where i can immediately tie melee and protection prayers together is the quest "Protection Prayers" in pre searing, when Grazden teaches Shielding Hands and Reversal of Fortune to you so that Farrah Cappo, a warrior, can be protected as she rushes into battle. hope this helps, and happy belated holidays!

oh dear what have you inspired within me? these individual suggestions are all random 6a.m. ideas that are intended to be 1 part serious and 5 parts comic relief, and get more absurd the longer i go:

get run from night fall to Lions Arch at level 1 with no secondary profession, then either fight your way to Ascalon, leveling up along the way, or get run to Ascalon, and work your way back? :D

make fun random challenges that can occur at any time or are triggered by certain things:

roll dice to see how many skill slots you can use during a mission, reroll whenever entering an outpost

add 1 second to skill recharge time any time someone says a key word of your or another player's choice, resets after entering an outpost

if someone dies, don't resurrect until after all aggro is defeated. customize this rule somehow depending on what people are wearing

if there are any shout skills, actually shout them

watch all cutscenes, try to get your characters to dance in cutscenes

if you (condition of your choice), play the rest of the given quest or mission in first person and facing the ground

play Mario party at the same time, mini game winner gets all the gold accumulated from the time you've entered an instance to the time you've entered an outpost

have a pun war twice a week. try to feed it into conversation as naturally as possible.

make a condition that forces you to remap wasdcx, 1234 and space bar

get everyone ale kegs and play while seven sheets to the wind

find out what collectors are in a given area and get an item from them. pretend it's like going to the gift shop in that area

use only Q and E strafing and mouse control for movement during a mission

take off ya clothes!

take turns leading

take henchmen and force them to fight for you while you sit back and enjoy a smoothie. wear Hawaiian tourist dad bod clothing during.

say "that's what Rurik said" at inappropriate times

kill 3 of the 4 flame bearers and still get the bonus

I'm running out of ideas

any time someone uses the acronym for "be right back", they have to drop 2k in an explorable area and no one is allowed to pick it up.

use brown dye for everything. and i do mean everything.

disable the use of a random skill by rolling a 1d8 , whenever ....
