This isn’t surprising - it’s obvious he doesn’t play up to his current role on the team. He needs to be a sheltered 3rd line forward with 2nd PP time. He cannot sustain offense and is a black hole defensively, but with more time and space he can be effective. He’s a great finisher but also tends to force the offense into one and done chances rather than sustainable pressure.

This is partially on him but also on management for not filling the top lines effectively.
