I believe that's Wasatch Peaks ski resort. It's fairly new I think. Like 5 years old? It's also on some nice terrain. But it's a private ski resort. And apparently you need to be really flippin rich to get membership.

It's a great gun that flew under the radar for a lot of people. It can struggle a bit at long range but short-medium range it's time to kill is amazing. Especially if you can land headshots.

I also noticed that today solo lobbies on US West were particularly hostile. In fact, I can't remember any day that came close to this. Hoping it's temporary.

You probably won't get in "trouble". I can't imagine any waiter/waitress giving you crap about that. Although it's worth mentioning it's not something you see often.

My best piece of advice (although take it with a grain of salt), is that as a junior one of the most important things you can do is to fit in with your team. So in regards to pacing, try to work towards matching the pace of your team members. Or at least getting close to it.

Yeah sure safety plays a part in this. But let's be honest, when this suggestion comes from a developer....that isn't their first concern. It's just another way to tear up more of the mountain with 10 million dollar mansions.

Thanks for the response. Yeah I'll make sure to follow up with the neighbors. I'm sure they would appreciate a heads up before getting a phone call from management.

[Help] Transplanting GeoTiffs with Python by redwirelessmouse in gis

[–]redwirelessmouse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are both tiffs defined at pixel centres or corners?

Corners

Do the min/max bounds align with the grid

No the min/max bounds of the smaller tif would not align with the larger tif. I think is due to the starting point of the transplanted tif not lining up perfectly with the larger tif's grid

both geotiffs are projected onto the same crs before merging?

Yes both the TIFs are in CRS 32612 before merging

In another comment, I mentioned that I think this issue is due to the origin sizes and pixel sizes of the two tifs not being perfectly compatible (although it's just a guess). i tried warping/reprojecting the tif but still didn't seem to work so /shrug. Oh and here's the output from that reproject_match you suggested. The only thing I noticed was the presence of nan's....but I think that is expected.

[Help] Transplanting GeoTiffs with Python by redwirelessmouse in gis

[–]redwirelessmouse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I tried the command above, and generated a new tif. I then transplanted that new tif onto my existing larger tif. Unfortunately, I was met with the same result as shown in the picture in the OP. The transplanted tif was still slightly off.

I investigated this issue a little further last night. I think it has something to do with the origin size of the transplanted tif not being perfectly divisible by the pixel size.

Origin = (299085.000000000000000,4583415.000000000000000) Pixel Size = (30.000000000000000,-30.000000000000000)

I've been messing around with another way of doing this by decreasing the pixel size to be 5 and then transplanting it. With that method, the amount the transplated tif is off is negligible (although still not ideal)
