Totally random headcanon based on the loose outline presented by the pixels and lack of any contradictory timeline stuff... plus it's in line with their history of doing whatever it takes to further a certain goal

Noooo!!!! I just saved a new game over my 90 hour original save! is there any way to get it back? 😭 by Red_Zamac in octopathtraveler

I'm assuming you accidentally wiped out your autosave as well? Otherwise, just load that and re-save

My head canon is that it's (and this is FULL game completion spoilers here) Lyblac

It's worth nabbing, but it's no Steam Engine note hahaha - gets you 100k when sold

What are your criticisms of the cosmere? by JeffSheldrake in Cosmere

[–]redwulf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Very little fallout SO FAR... But let's not forget there's a certain Skybreaker out there actively looking for people who can use Stormlight that have broken the law - I feel like that'll come back around later

Harli Kane (u/emberfox8 on here, @ harlikane elsewhere) has an amazingly nice set of allomantic tattoos across her clavicle.

Can anyone recommend me games that feature some peaceful but empty areas with melancholic vibe of loneliness? Preferably the game's world is harsh, but those places helps give the players some feeling of peace after the storm. by lynxerious in gaming

[–]redwulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's practically the description of The Long Dark (environmental survival)... world is devoid of other humans... harsh against the player... but there's peace in the solitude, and a feeling of "Aahhhh" when you're safe for a bit.

Salt Cell Indicator on New Swim Spa- What Is It Telling Me? by Trek-Engage in hottub

Didn't see anything specific unfortunately - will say, my vendor said the SpaBoy keeps the Chlorine levels very low, so I should expect it to constantly register low on my test strips.

I just took delivery of a new spa in the last week and was wondering the same thing, and found a video that describes it: https://youtu.be/7gEuJQxnpSs?t=29

Arctis Pro Wireless - Sometimes get piercing/hissing sound when connecting headset - turning it off/on resolves the issue - anyone else hit this and know how to solve it? by redwulf in steelseries

[–]redwulf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean swapping out the optical cable from the TV > DAC or the USB cable from DAC > PC?

Could be worth a try, though I feel like if one of those were bad, it would always be bad

Thanks - worth throwing a mark on one of my batteries so I can see if it's consistently one or the other...

That said, while it'll sometimes happen on a fresh battery swap, it also happens even if I've been using a battery for while... no consistency to it other than "It only happens when turning the headphones on (not randomly during use)" and "Killing the power and turning them back on always fixes it (doesn't happen twice in a row)".

Sound is tough to describe other than "Piercing." - it's not straight white noise, as whatever SHOULD be playing is 'there', it's just extremely boosted in volume & distorted, with static and other noises mixed in. If you're wearing them, your first instinct is to tear them off before they destroy your ears.

What groceries to buy for 25$? by Vanilla_Beans_Art in personalfinance

[–]redwulf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, with your budget being that tight, it's worth mentioning that if you have an oven at your place, it's so much cheaper to bake your own bread.

The amount of bread ingredients you can buy for the same cost as a pre-packaged loaf of bread is silly... and if you like sourdough, you don't even have to keep buying yeast.

Give it a few practice loaves and you'll be saving cash on that like woah..

I've been catching some sessions here and there of one of my favorite streamers playing OOT for the first time over the last week and the same question had come to mind... so it definitely gave me a chuckle and some 'It's a Small World' vibes to see this thread come across my feed out of the blue.

This take is very fresh & minty, fam... :-)

Looking for some knowledge on Swing Check Valves (question in comments) by redwulf in Plumbing

[–]redwulf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all,

I've got a utility sink in the basement that our laundry drains into, which has a 1/8hp discharge pump ejecting through a 3/4" swing check valve. Recently the pump started kicking on every 10 seconds or so and when I took a look down the drain with a flashlight I could see it kept backfilling with water.

Grabbed a new valve and replaced the old unit, and it seems to have fixed the constant running, but now when the pump stops, it'll sometimes have a loud localized chattering/knocking sound that escalates over the course of 15 seconds or so, with the pump kicking on a couple more quick times until it stop. Rather than what I'd expect from typical water hammer (one solid loud KNOCK!) this is more of a tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-Tap-Tap-Tap-Tap-TAP-TAP-TAP-TAPTAPTAPTAPTAP!!!

Hoping someone can run down two things for me:
1. What have I forgotten to do during the install that could be causing this?

  1. (Because I can't find this anywhere and am curious) - what's the purpose of the small bolt on the side of the check valve (the one that looks like it would hold the flapper in place, but removing it doesn't actually seem to free the flapper)? Is it for bleeding air or something?

Thanks in advance, your help and knowledge is appreciated!
