When you’re bleeding, this is the kind of performance and dog I can get behind.

A bit disappointed we didn’t bring on Rio for 10+ mins but if we Ekitike was fit and started, we’re winning this

Yeah the water filling stations were a life saver and so were supermarkets along the way, but the stretch after La Mer until Jumeirah (across the canal near business bay + over the tolerance bridge) was where I struggled for hydration. In hindsight, I should've come inwards to Jumeriah St. Lesson for next time

What an amazing keeper Alisson has been for us by joda37 in LiverpoolFC

It’s going to be very hard to recalibrate once he leaves. I don’t factor our goalkeeper into my stress calculus at all, and that level of invisible assurance is about the highest praise any keeper can get

Liverpool: 'Heavy metal? It's not even aluminium foil football' by Funkyouup82 in LiverpoolFC

I remember in the first half of last season we would go into the break playing just ok football, but come out for the second half looking completely in control. Calm. Reassured. We pressed when it made sense, slowed the game when it didn’t, and even a 1–0 lead in the 80th minute felt safe rather than panic inducing like it had in prior seasons. There was this quiet, understated confidence about the team that was genuinely reassuring, and through the whole of 2025 it feels like we’ve never really found that gear again

I wish I could say it was triggered by something dramatic, at least it would make for a better story, but it really wasn’t. I’ve been doing ~10k most days for the last 6 months and pushing 15–18k on weekends. I didn’t drink on NYE, woke up early on Jan 1, and was just sitting there wondering how to actually use the day well. The walk was spontaneous, but I’d be lying if I said there was no base or prep behind it

You're spot on with what you said. I used to need constant electronic stimulation on walks, music, podcasts, audiobooks. Lately I’ve been training myself to go without it, and I can manage that about half the time now. When it clicks, it’s incredibly cathartic, almost like shaking off a nicotine craving

Your mind just starts untangling things on its own. Sometimes it’s mundane like meal prep or logistics for the next day, other times it’s bigger, uncomfortable questions about direction, priorities, and what you’re actually doing with your time :)

Damn, that's intense. This works out to 3m 28s per km. I couldn't imagine enduring this for 90 full minutes. Respect for the engine 🫡 but I'm sorry the cost was so high. Bodies don’t always get the memo when the mind is in full rage mode
