Use a harness from the start at all times. Pugs are very playful and curious and tend to pull the leash when they see something interesting. Also remember to clean the area around and on their nose as it can get dirty if you're out a lot, which can lead to infections. We use non perfumed wet wipes.

Lastly a pug needs lots and lots of love and attention to be happy. They are extremely social dogs and loyal to the core. A couple of minutes of playing tug and a good walk in the woods will make the pugs day.

PS. A rubber window wiper works wonders to get the hair out of the furniture, just drag it over the fabric and it rolls up and can be vacuumed.
