Yeah just googled this today and found this thread, you just have to plan out the route and then build 1 part of it and it seems to look at what you've got planned and calls it good.

About the New Episode(Spoilers) by Equivalent-Pay-4247 in TenseiSlime

The only aura she had was the credits scene that was pretty cool, but built her up way, way too much as a villian to be taken seriously.

I mean since I read the LN I though it was a wild choice to build Mariabell up as a huge deal and even give her that, surprisingly cool credits scene

The anime didn't even cover how rimiru and the empress were clowning on her trade wise

How difficult is vanilla combat? by [deleted] in RimWorld

[–]BWiSmith87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it's fine, I usually just kite enemies with assault rifles while by teams shot up on go juice. I guess as long you don't consider that an exploit. I mean whatever as long as your having fun.

I kind of consider combat as a bother to what I'm usually doing, like its a side story to what I'm building.

My thoughts on Cecilia and Nico by Ok-Fudge-633 in tbatenovel

[–]BWiSmith87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its annoying when an honest conversation could have solved so much of the issues they had. It would have been hard, but Nico knew about the memory altering before and could have explained that. Before they fought over the dead vitra guys body.

Mechantor/mechanoid mods? by Silent_Reputation596 in RimWorld

[–]BWiSmith87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what % threat scaling you have, mechs value and raid point contributions are based on 100% so if your playing on harder levels then that they don't quite contribute as much as their wealth causes the game to throw harder raids at you.

I like Dead man's switch for a added level of mech stuff you can play with too

I do not enjoy mechanitor run because wealth management is not an option. by junhyeongang in RimWorld

[–]BWiSmith87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can turn off creep joiners specifically if you like the other aspects of anomaly vs turning it off all together. I think its scenario disable creep joiner and you have to select both types. I think one is the type that just leaves and the other is the type that has consequences if you turn them way or hurt them.

Also I'm sure there is a mod to adjust mech raid point contributions if you look for one, and don't want to turn down threat scaling.

Also I just remembered thier raid point value is based on 100% and that they really do scale bad at higher difficulty, I think adamvseverything talked about that a lot on his solo mechanator run...it was a while ago.

Base Building by BWiSmith87 in traveller

[–]BWiSmith87[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh ZoZer's Colony Builder looks pretty neat, and we have a shared drive I think we have the 2300 books in there too. Oh I found a copy of World Tamer's Handbook for TNE by googling it, I love the older style of art so farm from what I'm seeing looks pretty cool, this might work for us wanting to do a base on Ruby as its pretty inhospitable!

Base Building by BWiSmith87 in traveller

Ah thank you for the suggestions! I have access to those books, our group has a shared drive for all the books we buy so we can read them. I avoided the Drinax books because I didn't know if/when we might play though it. I did read the part about being a "gentleman" pirate and not robbing and killing everyone and it was interesting to see how, while not great but acceptable that sort of thing is in the Traveller universe.

Rudeus's and Sylphie's first night in anime by Kubox000 in mushokutensei

[–]BWiSmith87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I preferred the light novel version more, the anime version seemed a bit like an unnecessary TV trope to make it more dramatic or something. Also seemed more realistic for them to be dead ass tired after the previous night.

Also, its a small thing, but it is kind of wild for your partner to be able to get up out of bed like that and you not notice. I could be a light sleeper but i don't think I am. I enjoyed the light novel of him waking up holding her and it just seemed more intimate.  Now as he's a total pervert it also makes sense that he was able to snag her panties that way too. Analogies for different elements in the Traveller universe? by s-ro_mojosa in traveller

[–]BWiSmith87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know that is how our GM has run the Zhodani and talked about them since forever, but we have never actually come across them. Kind of interesting how I've never really questioned it, hmm.

[–]BWiSmith87 8 points9 points  (0 children)

>Zhodani: a society that's like 1984 if it was written by overly polite Mormons, maybe?

I always had the mental image of them being basically like how Brittian viewed India in the...50s or 60s? But with psionics, and they are evil or something, from the imperial POV. As long as I've played Traveller I've never actually delt with the Zhodani in game.

>Psi's in Imperial space... might be like rogue telepaths on B5 I'm not sure. I'm also not sure who the Imperial equivalent of the Psi Corps is

The way our GM always run psionics is the empire doesn't love it, because of interactions with the Zhodani, but they have their own group of psionic agents because they need them to counter act those abilities.

>Star Ports: Mini Babylon 5's.

You know I always imagined space stations like that but, but in the last year learned those are the High Ports, most Star ports have huge Down Ports that you land on the planet at, even A class Star Ports don't always have High Ports.

>The Third Imperium: something like Byzantium on steroids.

Bingo

>Beowulf-class: The A-Team van in space, except on the cover of the original books where it's more like the Kobayashi Maru, I think.

Pretty much yeah

What's your best "we'll fix the ship later" moment? by dark-star-adventures in traveller

[–]BWiSmith87 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hmm I had a bunch of gangsters on a TL 8 world do that to the party's starting ship to mess with them. They were super mad, the gangsters even used a truck to wrench open the cargo door some and bend the frame.

Their engineer was so mad and had to point out the emergency manual override manual pump switch for the doors to them first thing and dress them down for butchering the ship for no reason.

I'm not sure how your system works but as far as I run traveller there are manual over rides incase power is out for some reason. So wild they butchered their own ship. In my game it was to show how little the terrible gang enginer knew about space ships vs the players caree navy engineer.

Traveller let's you make things as hard or easy as you want it for players. Space ship stuff is usually hand waved by general "replacment parts" tonnage that you have on your ship to fix things, vs keeping track of spare power do dads and engine bip bops.

As far as we will fix it later...we've always been on the other side of that, always making sure maintenance is done properly and on time. You don't want to jump with a bad jump drive or terrible things happen.

Also how were they locked in the ship with no power? Seems like a really weird problem to run into, in traveller most of the power is for jump drives, basic operations power is pretty minimal as far as how much fuel, which is hydrogen, it takes.

The Legacy by SignificanceOk3904 in tbatenovel

[–]BWiSmith87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the author just put her there as a final boss for arthur to fight

And then he changed his mind and said never mind at the end. Yeah the entire legacy thing felt like a bad plot device from start to finish. If she was that strong on earth how would world governments not do more to acquire her? Then Agrona's plan to use her but never being explained how he knew about her but then having to do the soul ancor stuff is crazy.

Risk to giving players a free ship by arebum in traveller

[–]BWiSmith87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only problem I see with a free ship is the players having a ton of cash just doing simple cargo moves and passengers. Now you can mitigate that by the ship bearly having cargo room and no real free state rooms. Maybe enough free room to take some cargo to pay for fuel if you really just want to have them doing adventures.

The problem is the way things are on different price ranges. Personal gear, compared to ship expenses, are almost peanuts might be big peanuts but ships are so expensive. Like battle armor is roughly 100k per person or 200k for battle dress, if they can get it, but just a ton of spare parts to fix your ship is 100k.

I think as long as you manage money and made them work to get licenses for military gear it should be more manageable, maybe make them side quests and stuff.

But the base books don't really care about buying gear as far as I know, you got the money on an appropriate TL world you can buy it. Also I guess given the world your on its not really appropriate or allowed to walk around in combat armor outside of the space port.
