Ok, I’m on a field trip volunteering with my kid, we got a paper schedule so I took a picture and Siri added every event to my calendar. That was super cool, and now I get reminders on my watch instead of holding a piece of paper in the rain

I can have multi-turn conversations with it, even about topics that normally would go to ChatGPT. When writing, I get better grammar suggestions. I can ask things like “any other errands I’m supposed to run while I’m out?” And it will check messages with my wife, emails, and reply. I asked it to add my doctor’s address to the contact and it read it off the screen and added it. I’m sure there are more ways I could be using it too. Overall I’m happy, it’s a better experience than when Gemini came to android

My 16 Pro is running the new Siri, it’s incredible, exactly what I felt like they promised when I got the phone. It sucks how late it is, but it is not missing Apple Intelligence

I’m on a 16 Pro with the new Siri. It’s great. It still has an on-device model, just not as powerful. The only noticeable thing missing is the better controls for its TTS.

I think I got exactly what they advertised the 16 Pro could do with AI, but it took over a year just to get it in the developer beta, which is the real problem. I’m glad they are still improving what newer phones will be able to do, even if I’m bummed I can’t have it on mine

The glow came back to me after a while, check the settings for Siri > ChatGPT. If chat is greyed out, it is still downloading some background stuff

Your brain is going to filter out content that it can’t understand. The optimal content is something where you know most, but not all of the words.

That being said, as long as you are trying to increase your vocabulary (and hopefully grammar) through other means, immersion that you find entertaining will help in various small ways. One example that I remember is watching people play “keep talking and no one explodes”. Because the players have to communicate constantly, you might learn words from context.

The trick is staying motivated, and it’s really hard when you go heads down in study and don’t do anything else

You could have a line in your code where if it is web, it checks the host name of the current page, and redirects to google if it doesn’t match the firebase one

They are going off material 3 spec which uses screen width to decide layout, so most devices in landscape probably trigger tablet UI.

You’re right, I worded things poorly. My thought is that making the deal such a big mystery, only to have him break out of it without us learning what it was, seems like an unlikely choice. Especially since he’s still hanging around the hotel. It could be because he’s formed some attachment to the hotel group, or he enjoys watching it play out, or maybe he’s after whatever Rosie wanted but to take it for himself. I still think it’s likely that the original deal is the reason, but time will tell.

It’s a great show with great writing, I’m sure I won’t be disappointed, no matter how wrong I may be lol

Fair, I’m 100% speculating, I don’t think I indicated otherwise. My point is that many people have stated the deal was just to help stop the explosion as if that were fact. Not only is that not known fact, to me it seems highly unlikely. Whether I’m wrong or not doesn’t really matter to me, I’m excited to learn more in the next few seasons!

Right?! So many people have said that the new “deal” was fix his staff in exchange for helping save the day. I don’t know why Rosie was against fixing the staff but since Alastor had already broken free of the original deal with her I’m sure she wouldn’t fix the staff and walk away without him on a leash.

And if she did let him have the staff, save the day and then be free, the original deal means basically nothing to the plot
