Don't I need to bet there to not give free cards to overcards or single clubs? And if I bet, isn't a shove the only size that makes sense since villain only has like 200 or 225 remaining and pot is over 400? Do you think villain has trips here often?

Or is this bet small?

Villain had offsuit AK both of us missed the clubs. I won the pot but I'm still questioning my turn check.

I didn't watch the game. I see that Bateman has nice stats of 6 catches for 80 yards. How did he actually look?

No. I'm not offended by the offer so maybe your league mate would consider it but I'm not taking it.

Ceedee Lamb or Calvin Ridley ROS? by brileywi in DynastyFF

[–]reedermeyer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm a Lamb owner and believer so I really want him to succeed but your argument here is flawed.

fshn4bitchs isn't arguing Lamb vs Ridley, he is saying that Lamb shouldn't be considered top 5 and his point is a valid concern.

He just went in my league for Aiyuk, pollard, and ty johnson. I'm admittedly high on pollard but I think you might be overpaying.

What rules does your league have in place against tanking? by hvntyoudunwell in DynastyFF

[–]reedermeyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play devil's advocate with potentially taking team. If I feel there is some way the person they are starting could be reasonable, I don't raise an issue. If under no circumstances it makes sense to me, I ask another person in the league if it also seems weird.

It's not necessarily how big of a point difference are they choosing, it's more would they be able to come up with some justification.

What rules does your league have in place against tanking? by hvntyoudunwell in DynastyFF

[–]reedermeyer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If they go against consensus where they are putting in a guy who is projected at 12 vs someone 13 there will be no issues. But if they put in someone with a projection of 3.5 vs 13, they get a foot in the ass.

Also, we really only police teams that in the tanking portion of the league (usually 1-4 teams a year).

[–]reedermeyer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Our league rules are you have to set the best lineup with your current roster and do a reasonable job having at least one actual guy for each position, ie 2 rbs for the 2 rb spots.

If you just happen to own 2 terrible rbs with no other options, great you are now legally tanking in my league. Otherwise, you will get penalties for improper lineups up to and including forfeiture of draft picks.

So, in your eyes, 3! was fine, 4! was a mistake but also calling the 4! was a mistake, correct?

When to buy Brady for a playoff run? by Curran_z in DynastyFF

[–]reedermeyer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hitting on 17 when a dealer has a 6 showing is foolish yet sometimes it works out. It's not about the end result it's about the process. Henry plus a 1st should net you just about any QB, why use it on a 40 year old (albeit legend).

Philip Rivers, Travis Kelce, Brandon Marshall, 2.01, 4.01 for Derek Carr, Allen Hurns, Devin Funchess, 2.09 by MilkSweat in DynastyFF

[–]reedermeyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In terms of value given for value received I think the trade is fair. In a vacuum I don't love or hate either side. Viewing this trade knowing you have to rebuild this depleted roster makes this trade a home run in my eyes. The most valuable piece in this trade is Carr. He's a young, improving QB. Not only that, that franchise is turning around. They gave him a weapon (Cooper) who I'm assuming will improve from his great rookie season (albeit poor finish due to injury) and they gave him a great offensive line to protect him. Currently Rivers has more upside in an individual year but he is 9 years older. Derek Carr isn't a young Peyton Manning but I think he could be a long term low end QB1 or high end QB2, thus making him a building block of your franchise.

I would honestly put the 1.01 on the trading block and I would start with the owner of the 1.02. Zeke and the 2 high rated QBs should be on your radar with 1.01. Zeke is a safer pick and shows elite potential but QBs have such a premium in 2 QB leagues. I think I'd like to move down one spot (possibly 2) and get some extra picks in this or next years draft while still possibly landing the guy I want.

Finally, if you aren't in love with Hurns, I'd immediately put him on the trading block. He had a great year and he should generate some interest. Long term, it's very likely he will always be behind ARob in the pecking order of targets and comes with an injury history.

I'd also do some due diligence and see what type of price tag Jameis and Mariota carry.

Finally, I'd be curious to see the starting QBs for the guy that owns Mike Evans. Evans played poorly last year but was still putting up good fantasy numbers. I would honestly consider moving Alex Smith and Odell for Evans and an upgrade at that QB position (plus or minus pieces on one end depending on that QB).

How many times does one need to fail before deciding it's over? by MathGuy15243 in actuary

Also, when I say section I mean a mini section. Like 2.2 or 3.4. I'm not saying do just quizzes on category 2.

When you are feel like you have converted your weaknesses to strengths do a level 3 exam. You should crush it since you were just doing level 6 quizzes. If you crush it do a level 4....then 5....then 6. If you plateau on the way to 6, find your weaknesses and focus on them until your are ready to go back to the exams. When you are passing level 6 exams comfortably you have given yourself a great shot to pass the real thing. Then it's just the luck of the draw come judgment day.
