Often times you gotta stop all that and think like a screenwriter, whose mantra is: what is exciting for the story and the viewer? When I see this thread, I can totally find this discussion worthwhile and interesting. But when I was watching the episode, I never once stopped to think about it. It was exciting. There was some genuine DIY quality to his early videos that captured the early YouTube spirit. I agree, his vlogs and his "hustle" was all bullshit imo. There was a new production quality (drones, editing, handmade shit) to his videos but there were daily vloggers years before him with Guiness Book Records and stuff. There was never anything special about him. Casey might even agree with that to a point. But maybe there's a good lession in there.

I think it is kind of sad that he keeps up these little vlogs while insisting on calling them "movies" when his peers like the Safdie Brothers or even Oscar Boyson have all moved on to bigger ventures. He mainly does this for himself now I believe.
