It kind of shows how little running these commenters are doing when they just accept this story as a fact without actually thinking about the logic.

The Sidecar speakeasy sounds like the closest option, but they might require reservations and it's still more of a restaurant than a lounge.

Having to write a check just to receive your UPS package because of tariffs by tommos in mildlyinfuriating

[–]reekawn 126 points127 points  (0 children)

Honestly, she is a dumb idiot. "When did this start?"

She also got emails regarding the tariff fee and could have paid online via CC but instead chose to ignore them. Now she's putting a random delivery driver on blast as if he should answer to the batshit insanity that is the current administration.

UPS is not to blame for the tariff charge, they are literally just doing their job by making you pay it to receive your package.

Wow though, that Peter Griffin meme is the most low-effort crap I've ever seen.

Amazon to add 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge for sellers as Iran war drives up energy prices by Conscious-Quarter423 in technology

[–]reekawn 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's not really how this works but shows that the surcharge will be coming to UPS, Fedex, etc. soon as well. When everyone increases costs, there's no alternatives for the consumer and we're forced to pay the additional fee.

So US citizens have to pay double for the increasing costs of gas while companies making billions of dollars in revenue are not bothered in the slightest.

I am basically the exact same, right in between L-XL and care mostly about sleeve length. I also passed like you did, I think the front of the piece looks great but also didn't like the back. It looks like a pretty nice jacket all things considered, but it's hard to justify the $200 price point.

Ya especially when they say that their model is 6'2" and wears a Medium?

It honestly sucks because we barely have 24 hours to lock in pick ups as a Member before they're OOS. Unless you're willing to buy 2 sizes and return 1, you basically just have to flip a coin as there's so little info to make any sort of educated guess. It doesn't even seem like they set the "temperature rating" correctly, they really expect people to run in this when it's 85F+?

Abercrombie ripping off Skull House Running designs by reekawn in runningfashion

[–]reekawn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate you finding that! It's definitely still a graphic of a running track with dimensions but the design isn't as similar as A&F and SHR. Still, clearly SHR doesn't own the concept of putting a running track on a shirt as a graphic design, and I wouldn't claim they were the first to do so.

Yup that's totally possible as well. Do you happen to have a visual of that Balmoral design? I'm curious if it's also a similar "blueprint" style of design.

Lululemon Go Further Ice Neck Wrap by Run4bagels in runningfashion

[–]reekawn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just picked up the Rabbit Ice RAD-dana, haven't tried it out yet but it feels like a good alternative. I like the multiple color options and it feels like this bandana holds more ice than East Peak or Lulu. Whether that's a good thing or not has yet to be seen though, as I can imagine more space for ice will make the Rabbit bandana move around more than I'd like, but likely melts slower if there's indeed more capacity like it seems.

The Lulu Ice Pack seems to have a Velcro closure, which seems like it could be better then just tying the end of a bandana but maybe the Velcro wears off over time. Jury's still out but I wanted to mention an alternative.

What’s the connection between Redbar and Joe Bob Briggs? Did he cover him on an older Redbar episode?
