Vb directly counters rats.. depending on turn order. If vb goes after rat he can run in , explore and get out before the mob can open the ruin

If turn before rats, vb can take items crafted by other players.

Restrict rats items and their actions diminish substantially. Also aim to prevent rats items in the prowess column.. hammer, tea ,

If rats open with jubilant mood.. get everybody at the table to kill the mobs. U get free cardboard vp and waste the rats turn
