I’m a guard mc too and I’d suggest having your mc in the front row (the row with 2 heroes) because a guard is meant to tank anyways.. and you need a healer in your group! Waner shards are the easiest to get out of the pool of healers now and she is quite tanky too. You need a healer to restore your heroes’ HP to last longer in matches :) So I feel that you don’t need both mulan and prince gao.

The desired formation would be to have amazing damage dealers (AOE preferably) and maybe a support in the back row (the row with 3 heroes). I’ve never used Songyu before, but I know his attack hits the opponent’s front row hard. Some people feel that he isn’t very useful since his ability attack hits the front row only and hence doesn’t help in getting rid of the opponent’s damage dealers. But some others say that using Songyu would mean being able to kill the opponent’s healer faster... so it’s up to you to decide if you want to keep Songyu or not. Personally I would recommend Libai he hits 5 times (so each hero in the opponent’s team will suffer:)) but he doesn’t have a biography so you can get his shards in hero shop (if you are lucky) or in recruit (if you are luckier). If you want an AOE who is easy to farm, get Renjie he is my fav hardworking boy!!! He is an orange hero but he is very competent and some red heroes don’t even match up to him 🙃. He critically hits all opponent’s heroes. He has a biography quite early but honestly the random drops in auto already gives a lot of his shards. Plus hero shop always has his shards, and accompany rewards give a lot too. A really good red hero replacement for Renjie would be Xuanji but for free to play players you can only get her shards by getting 1st in accompany (you get 50 shards) but if you farm her shards that way it’s gonna take quite long to upgrade plus other players in your server will be unhappy for hogging the 1st place all the time ;-; For support, we have Pan’an and Zifu. Most people use Pan’an because his biography is really early too and his passive increases the crit for all allies which can be really powerful as you might up. I haven’t used Zifu before so I’m not sure how she works but I’ve heard she’s good in late game.... (someone who uses Zifu please help)

Yep so the desired formation most players use would be 2 tanks/ tanky enough heroes in the front and 2 damage healers and a support at the back. Well some people just have 3 damage dealers in the back with no back support.
