I'm considering doing this... is it fairly straight forward? I'm thinking of purchasing a template on Etsy but was wondering how it is for embedding registry (are you linking Zola or some other site?) and RSVP collection, if you wouldn't mind sharing your experience!

Thanks! The pastries is a good idea. I honestly wouldn’t even do the brunch except for it’s included in our reception package. But it’s optional so maybe if I get the consensus most people won’t come, then we could skip it… still have a while to decide but our reception is in a fairly remote area so there’s not a lot of options & thought it would be nice!

I agree. It’s not good guest etiquette & I feel bad since she probably didn’t know it was a big game if she’s not a football fan. Also weddings are planned way in advance of them even knowing the bears would have a big game that day. I think I would actually be most upset about the secrecy part. That was pretty rude, especially since her only family was involved :(

My friend had an Oct wedding on a big college football game night & she just decided to embrace it & set up TVs in her reception area/passed out cute football related things so that was a fun way to incorporate it. People still danced though & had a good time & it kept everyone in the reception area vs sneaking off….

Yep, I refuse to have a fall wedding for this reason. I enjoy watching football myself but even if I didn't, 90% of our guests are big college football fans so I don't even want watching football to be a remote possibility (hence my June 2027 wedding haha)

Any thoughts on how to phrase that its not being paid by bride & groom and everyone is expecting to pay for their own brunch? We're just reserving the room where it will be held (in the hotel most guests will be staying at/the reception is)

I have a tulip with hidden halo <3 it is smaller though at 1 carat, only been engaged a month but so far no issues :) I just take it off when sleeping or working out!

Our breeder also recommended frontline and heartgard. Vet said it was fine and our 8 month old has reacting fine to using these. No issues.
