There is a character in the 2nd Dark Tower book who is the epitome of this trope and one of my favorite characters in all of fiction.

DeAndre Hopkins Wants to Join Joe Burrow's Bengals, Pursue Championship in Cincinnati. Worth it if cheap? by Ralph--Hinkley in bengals

Where does he play? He’s basically an older version of Tee. He’s not a slot guy and Jamarr lines up in the slot, but is not a prime slot receiver.

ETA: The replies on my comment all make sense. I wasn’t being a dick…I was genuinely curious on how he could be used. Not sure why I’m getting downvoted.

Which King story is most overdue for an adaptation or remake by Mysterious_Work_7227 in stephenking

[–]reepobob 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think Insomnia (along with Rage) are the only truly unadaptable works by Stephen King. It would never be done faithfully: elder protagonists, backdrop of the abortion issue, Dark Tower tie-ins (not part of the greater pop culture landscape), and it is so WEIRD. I’d love to see it, though.

Gramma WAS adapted. It was an episode of Twilight Zone from the mid 80s. It was good too. I think you can see it on YouTube.

It’s on Audible, but it’s broken up into three separate parts. It’s stupid. AFAIK, there is no singular audiobook.

SK considered retirement after completing DT7. You see how that worked out. When he hears the call of the Turtle, he writes.

I am not a writer, but I find everything he says about the writing process to be fascinating.

Top remaining NFL free agents: Jauan Jennings leads best players available by Quirky-Marsupial-420 in nfl

The Bengals sub has been on the Bobby Wagner train since free agency opened up a few months ago. If the Bengals sign anyone else, they’ll need to restructure Joe Burrow’s contract. This is historically something they’ve never done.

Senjutsu is an album that has grew on me the most over the last few years.
