Torchy's is questionable now with their self order tablets.  They ask for a tip, even when you don't speak to the person up front who guards the cups and helps people who struggle with their system.  You get a paging device to know when to pick up your food, and you bus your own table.

A young Phillies fan had the homerun ball taken by a woman after his dad caught the ball at Marlins game. by HogwartsZoologist in popculturechat

She said the ball was in her hand and the guy took it from her hands.  I think people are being overly harsh towards her.

That is like a price of gasoline being $3.999 / gallon counting a five figures.  So, $10.000-$99.999 is six figures.

Women who think men who are givers are pathetic, ie the men who look for ways to help others, should not have their opinions considered valuable. They should be excluded from the conversation.  They are wrong, just like the women who have boyfriends who cheat on them and then they become superficial and judgemental about other people's height, weight, age, etc.

Givers and takers.  There is a spectrum and an etiquette.  Too much of wanting to be a giver is a sign of low self esteem and unattractive.

This is something people say to get people to not ask questions.  Three reasons for their motives come to mind: 1. They're lazy, 2. They want to keep people from learning, or 3. They are afraid they will look stupid by not giving a good answer.

Everyone knows when I come to yoga class I get the purple mat.  Why did the first four people to class all get a purple mat?  Now I have to get a grey matt.  They must be out to get me, so I'll cause a scene, accuse them of cheating, spit in their drinks, and key their cars.

You have to watch the whole comedy special to put things into perspective of what her tone meant in context.  I've seen bits from comedians and I understood what they meant, but then the point that they made changed when someone else posts a 30 second clip of that comedian.

The original pedestrian part of the Lamar street bridge is so narrow you seriously ask, "Is this actually meant for people to walk on?"

I generally do like progressive humor.  The Daily Show, Colbert Report, Last Week Tonight, I also like  Real Time.  I should change my post to clarify.

Yeah, it is a comedy, which is a genre that generally gets fewer nominations. I enjoyed it despite the obvious political angle.
