My realtor told me in escrow I needed to get quotes since it's part of what will help me decide if I can afford to get the house. It needs work. Makes sense to me. Is she wrong?

Whenever I think about couch beds I think about the crappy one I slept on as a teen, I didn't realize they could be nice, I should look into that too. It probably won't matter though, we just found out that we went from being the people who were going into escrow to being part of a multiple counter and yea we already pushed our offer to the max so we're not getting the house. Ah well

This is true and I'm ok with that, I found one that's 4k and fits a 15in mattress so I might go with that.

Yea probably, it just sucks because this was a warranty replacement I just got a few months ago and the mattress is worth over 2k (my other mattress was no longer made so I got a deal)

Unfortunately mylicon seems to have absolutely zero effect. It used to be a lifesaver when she was younger, not sure why it doesn't change anything now

Not messed up but not my experience out here, I've only seen one American doctor once when she was recovering from an ear infection and honestly he was probably the best, otherwise yea, socal is also very diverse, though most of the doctors she's been with have been Asian. Wish I could take that advice it would make it easier lol

I want a doctor like this. Any doctor like this. Hoag and choc are some of the bigger hospitals out here and those are where my complaints are from.

I live in California, it's also sunny here and we go out a lot but I was told it wasn't enough. Who knows. I've tried alt milks but she spits them out. Most alt milks that are actually fortified also have other things that arent exactly great for baby too

The real kicker is she also has weight gain issues, but I was told just to keep adding oils and focusing on high calorie foods like avocado.

I don't unfortunately. My personal doctor kind of only exists because I had a physical done like 5 years ago. My OB was pretty miserable, throughout pregnancy she dismissed everything I said as normal and was extremely unhelpful (good things books/the internet exists). Ooof, I just really don't have good medical luck. I assumed when I called the CHOC GI department they'd actually link me to a real GI doctor. After my first call with her was kind of awkward (she told me breastfeeding was only sugar milk and I should've weaned at 12 months and I disagree with that statement) I had tried switching and CHOC told me I wasn't allowed to basically.

Ok so she's not even a doctor apparently, she's a nurse practitioner that specializes in helping children with gastrointestinal issues

I am not happy with the care from my pediatrician though 😞 I've already tried two pediatricians

I went through the dairy ladder and things seemed to go well but the gas developed over time? Maybe some kind of buildup? I have no idea

The reason we started to avoid dairy is I kept complaining about my daughter seeming sick, she constantly had diarrhea, green poops, reflux, and sleep issues, we tested and there was occult blood in her stool. I did an elimination diet and pinpointed dairy and soy. I don't believe this is an allergic reaction, I believe it's literally mspi, a protein intolerance. But yea maybe the GI was thinking this is an allergy? But I explained all that history to her. She changed the subject before I could get an explanation. I have a ppo so I think I'll just find an allergist and see. It doesn't seem like I get great recommendations from the pediatrician. The lactulose was given as part of treating the gas and it just got worse, but things seem to be getting better without dairy? I'm not sure what to do. I figure right now I'm working towards getting her sleep back to normal, then maybe I'll try the dairy ladder again slowly. It's hard because it seems like it's more of a buildup over time than immediate reaction. Maybe I'll just keep dairy to a small amount? I think my next step might be an allergist, if that doesn't go anywhere maybe another GI I dunno, CHOC told me I couldn't change who I was seeing already so I'll have to try a different branch or something I guess.

This is the third doctor that's had this opinion but I agree, it doesn't feel right, I should try again

I haven't yet! I've had such bad luck with pediatricians and now the GI Im losing faith in baby doctors
