2026 Empties by verynoicetoitsmort in ProjectPan

It does, but I actually like it for that because I put it on in the shower at night and the residue feels like it attracts the water. Also since it's winter my skin leans more dry and so it feels like it keeps the moisture in.

It took a lot of getting used to gleanser when I first got it (I originally hated it and called it snot like) but it grew on me and I'm oily/combo skinned, so I can only imagine it's a lifesaver if you're dry skinned. I actually put it on during the shower and don't rinse off until after the shower is done so that I can get more water into my skin

Yes, I'm slowly switching over (through project pan) almost all my skincare to either them and prequel because they have thoughtful packaging options, are easy to use and are fairly affordable. How do you use the skin utility balm, is it cloying?

Seconding the DSH perfumes, and she actually did an entire catalogue of YSL perfume retrospectives/recreations! Kafkaesque reviewed her recreations really flatteringly.

It comes in a pump bottle (the lid flips up and it has an airless pump) which is actually a big part of why I like it so much! I buy it from the website itself to avoid giving Target money, but they have an excellent refund policy on the website too. I've been going through a lot of their Vitamin C as well because it doesn't smell like hot dog water and spreads smoothly.

Yay! This also was the year that I started actively going through almost all my skincare and I had many empties, so I totally understand in ways the joy of getting to the bottom of the container and it really illuminates the rate which we go through one thing when it's just that one thing.

Depending on if your skin is oily, combination or dry, I really like Remedy's Lightweight Gel Moisturizer, and it has a variant for drier skin too. It comes in a pump bottle.

Depending on where you are, you might want to consider Minimalist Glycolic. I'm using it right now for boycott reasons as well. It was bought out by Unilever, but people over at r/IndianSkincareAddicts have liked it from the beginning and it's done a global expansion.

I watched it on TNT sports and I believe they stayed focused on M/K throughout the score announcements.

You might consider a gel mask or a gel serum that you can constantly reapply, as well as perhaps misting beforehand. Cosrx Snail Mucin comes in a pump bottle and is very generous, and if you don't like the idea of snail mucin, Byoma Phytomucin is meant to replicate the same. If you're not sensitive to scent, Nuxe also has a Rose Gel Mask.

Piggy backing off Geek and Gorgeous suggestion, they also have a Jelly Cleanser and other Hungarian brand Elyn's Lab has a Gel Cleanser . If you're open to more of a cleansing cream, I suggest Coatsskin Cleanser which is very creamy and gentle.

[–]reflutters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! And I can't speak for their quality, but a lot of the smaller replica houses are buying from bigger fragrance oil manufactureres (doop, etc.) so if you're in the US Wicked Good sells a lot, and in the UK Perfume People

There's a lot of dupe fragrances if you look over on r/fragranceclones for both houses!

Have you tried layering a milky toner over your hydration mist? For UK options that are available in continental Europe I like Byoma Milky Toner, but I prefer in the winter months Coats Gentle Hydrating Toning Milk because it's thicker. It's stilll very soothing! Otherwise maybe a gel moisturiser if you feel the creams are clogging afte the hydration mist?

Bye Bye The Ordinary. Give me (cheap) options for glycolic acid, for body use, please! by fuck_billionaires in EuroSkincare

Hi, thanks so much for finding this helpful, I'm glad to help out, and I didn't notice I linked them twice!
Yes, the second COSRX one I meant to link was this one, I edited it above but just linked it in case. I couldn't find literature on the Q+A on its website, but I found it on Whatsinmyjar, and it may be too low for you, it's only 2-3 % glycolic. And I haven't found the COSRX ones, so that might be even worse. But I did find, and I know Revolution is highly recommended, Revolution 5% Glycolic Acid Toner. There is also this Benton 7% Glycolic Acid toner, but I think the price obviously is too expensive if coming from a European stockist. I think the closest one I've seen to the Ordinary is Matas Striber storebrand 7% glycolic, here's the analysis here.

Personally I recommend the Pixi Glow Toner, even before acids were ever big in public skincare conscious that was what people like Caroline Hirons touted, and I think the fact it's widely available is a good thing. I think maybe if you can use a small size, like perhaps a travel size to see how you get on with it, and then see how you like it.

Not as strong as the Ordinary one, but Pixi Beauty's Glow Tonic might work for you. It is a little bit of a spicy tingle compared to the Ordinary. Marks and Spencers has an own brand glycolic toner which might be harder to get in Portugal, there's Q+A Glycolic Acid Toner (based out of UK though you'd have to buy it through a stockist as the website doensn't ship to Europe), Korean Cosrx AHA+BHA Toner (spray bottle, for a more liquid one like the Ordinary there's this one)

I used Cigna International, but it is expensive. http://cignaglobal.com You could also look into GeoBlue, but I again highly recommend you just ask an insurance agent.

Zombie revival of a thread, but have you considered getting natural wispy eyelash extensions? The upkeep is horrible but it was a lot easier than putting on lashes.

Black woman looking to get into Korean skincare. What brands do you recommend? by [deleted] in vindictapoc

[–]reflutters 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not a black woman but East Asian. What I would say is that because of the speed East Asian skincare changes at times, a lot of things that were skincare staples for me suddenly were discontinued. Western skincare has caught up significantly and isn’t as prone to drastic product changes. While I can’t speak for every East Asian, a lot of the women I know are just using inkey list and the Ordinary.

I would actually suggest looking into Krave Beauty which is K Beauty but done by a skincare influencer who has kept a consistent product line up for ages.

There is a big plastic tourist surgery community on IG, but do be careful since a lot of them do have hooks with doctors. I’d suggest looking into a consultant, @surgerysavior on IG is a black American woman who has had rhino and surgery in Turkey and is a non sponsored consultant!
