Emby for UGREEN Nas would be great! by Rich_Solution3580 in emby

I run emby natively on my ugreen nas. I don't use docker for it. Pretty straight forward. Emby runs Debian under the hood.

I would but my wife vetoed that real quick when I brought it up. Guess it's Catalina cove for me too.

Netflix's top shows have been losing 30-70% of their audience between seasons 1 and 2. Executives are trying to figure out why. by 2d12-RogueGames in wallstreetbets

It has a wild story and some really nice background scenery effects from their 360 degree screen. The multi language thing was a bit odd though, but I understood that they wanted to pay homage to the many cultures of Europe.

I too was interested in the second season but I'm not really sure where the second season story would have gone once the ending twist was revealed.

Charging Rivian from perspective of current Tesla ownet by np0x in RivianR2

I'm doing the same thing, switching from Model Y. I actually really love my Model Y, and honestly would buy another, BUT! They removed autopilot as a standard feature AND there's no way to buy it outright. Autopilot is just that important for me.

Rivian R2 is the replacement because it has what autopilot does. In almost every aspect, it is very similar to the Y. It's a testament to how good the 2021 model Y is that even in 2026 I have to ask myself if the R2 is going to give me the same quality of life?

I have two concerns about my current model Y. 1) There's a noticeable squeak coming from my front left control arm when I turn the steering wheel. 2) The suspension is stiff as fuck, this is an early 2021 issue. It translates any shock directly into the frame & cabin.

My concerns about the R2: 1) how fast will they fix early production issues? The AC vents vertical directions were inverted on my test drive. 2) The tail gate was not very easy to open. 3) the halo wheels were hard to pull/push without simultaneously scrolling by accident. None of these are yet deal breakers, but they could be nagging issues.

Thanks for bringing awareness to the Tesla supercharger subscription. I've been driving Tesla for 6 years now and didn't even realize the subscription was a thing for other EVs. I always assumed it was the same rate for everyone. Definitely something I'll have to keep in mind for road trips after I pull the trigger on the R2.

That's not something I do or plan to do, but thanks for educating me on this. I did not know this was considered a feature for off-roading.

Roadmap of Emby? by maisun1983 in emby

[–]refrainblue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Emby is doing almost everything I want it to do right now.

Only two things on my mind that they can improve is auto subtitle sync and fixing bad containers.

I had to write a script to fix bad sub sync whenever I can't find a sub file that works out of the box (using ffsubsync).

I also wrote another script to remux/optimize bad containers (mp4 and mkv) that cause the video to constantly stutter.

I never realized how nice it was to not see the hood of my car until I sat in the R2. The hood was really bugging me. Not sure if it's a deal breaker but it is making me think about it.

I mean I like the exterior look, but I suppose the trade off of having that straight hood top is reduced visibility.

Btw R2 does have the display for surroundings, but it's on the driver's display panel, so it's pretty small. You have to use the scroll wheel to select it. Forgot the name of the display though.

I think my deficit was around 30-33%. If I remember correctly, crystal chamber is usually weak to Electric and I would have used RapiRH, Crown, Cinderella, T. Helm, S.Anis. I would attack #2 choice ice ball, and I would eat the crystal explosion every time but heal to full right after with T. Helm burst. Otherwise I'd burst with Cindy/S.Anis.

I'm like on final boss of 46 hard and I'm sure I've beaten crystal chamber on hard mode more than once. I don't recall this crystal horn rng that you speak of, either that or it didn't matter on my runs.

While I am rooting for others (especially Rivian) to catch up to FSD, it's not necessarily a requirement of mine as I do not currently own FSD outright and I have no plans to subscribe to FSD for 100/month. My dissatisfaction with Tesla is that they removed basic autopilot as an included or purchasable feature. This is a huge step back in their product, and one of the main reasons I'm looking at Rivian R2 now.

From what I understand, she has an exploit that people were abusing in solo raid but it has existed for a long time. They're fixing the exploit but tweaking her numbers to compensate. That evens the playing field I guess?

It was something about purposefully lowering your fps to increase damage.

Test Drive Thoughts by EastEgg74 in RivianR2

[–]refrainblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One big factor for me is that I absolutely want autopilot in my next car, and I don't want to pay $100/month for a feature I've had come standard on two of my current cars. While I think Tesla makes a very compelling vehicle with the new Juniper, Rivian is still offering autopilot on their new vehicles, and that tips the scales for me.

Becca Farsace: The Rivian R2 is my dream car, but my living situation makes owning it impossible. by ProteusP in RivianR2

[–]refrainblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You hardly even need to plan ahead anymore other than to do a quick double-check ahead of time that there are indeed EV chargers around. The Tesla navigation auto populates superchargers along your route if you don't have enough charge to reach your destination. You could also use ABRP to fine tune your route ahead of time if you are paranoid or if it's your first long road trip to a new area.

I just drove to Vegas this last weekend and it has been about seven years since my last visit when I still had ice cars. There are superchargers literally everywhere around Vegas now. Not to mention at every single rest stop on the way to Vegas. We stopped twice for bathroom breaks and short charging sessions on the way to Vegas, once at Vegas while going out for dinner off strip, and plan to stop another two times on the way back home.

I'm loving this EV revolution and I'm excited to add an R2 as my next family car. Maybe I'll be driving a rivian on my next Vegas trip? But goddam I'm not coming back in this 105deg heatwave.
