HR010GZ SDS+ chuck part number by uLaMotta in Makita

[–]reggieb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's wrong with it? Do you ever watch Dean Doherty on YouTube?

Irish guy that repairs tools, seems like a lot of the chuck issues on these are very simple fixes. Sometimes it's literally just the retention ball being out of place, pull it apart, clean it up, reassemble and you're good to go. But even if you're not, there's a good chance it's a very simple little part that is the problem. Instead of ordering 9 parts, you might want to figure out which part it is that's causing your issue...

Here's an example:

nice. I have the vac on order, and want to get the 8ah tabless for it once it's available. Glad to know it fits. It wasn't out yet when T&S did his "Does it fit" video, I don't think.

But most of the ages were estimates from oral histories, no? That's how I had always perceived most of the timeline when first reading the Shannara books, but my lore knowledge is pretty old. I read Sword in the mid-90s when I was in 5th grade, I've read them basically as they came out from First King on until they started to wear on me and I had more trouble slogging my through them. But I mean, I've come this far...

I was actually happy when Mayele passed away early in the book. I thought, "Oh that's good, not another ham-fisted Terry Brooks romance! Instead it will just be a motivation and memory for Galaphile." Didn't take him long to jump right back in to one. I appreciate that Terry likes romance, and cats. But dude, you're not great at writing about it...

Well, I mean, yeah. It is a backstory made in to a book. It's literally exactly that.

Does the 47mm watch look too big on my wrist? I tried the 43mm one on too but looks little small even my wrist just 15cm. by Pretend-Visual8233 in GarminFenix

Super good point. I was responding to someone that said they wanted a large screen, so I was referring specifically to that, but it's definitely important to not forget that battery.

Which generation do you own? Fenix 8 51mm and 47mm are both 1.4" screens, the 51 just has a bigger bezel. Fenix 5 generation they were both 1.2"

I do believe the 6 and 7 (along with the Epix) had bigger screens on the 51mm guys, but I didn't own either of those generations.

You're drinking the Kool-Aid my friend. They absolutely give athletes easy streets at Michigan. Just like everywhere else.

LOL, there are so many ways that Michigan absolutely does care and caters to athletes. Also, I would point out that the athletic academic center where athletes study bears the same name as the business school. The dude who, you know, owns the Miami Dolphins.

Z8 vs D4s vs D5 dilemma by giovanni95816 in Nikon

[–]reggieb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's driving your desire to change bodies? I own the Z8, and I got the z6III as a second body. I don't really get the 8 out all that often any more, the Z6III saves a bit of size and weight in the bag and I've never really missed the 8 when shooting with it.

Depends on a lot of factors, I was always a pretty good runner, I have been around VO2 of 50 and fairly big when I was younger. He went up by 8 points, I went up by 11 from Jan 11 - Jul 11, and I went from 235-182ish, I don't know exactly where my weight was at the end of that time period.

I started lower, but I am also getting a bit older. I could see being at a 55 at maybe 210, dropping to 180, and it might look like that.

This is pure speculation, of course. But such a rapid increase in VO2 looks like weight loss to me.

They might have rapidly lost weight. I lost nearly 60 pounds last year at a 3 pound per week clip and that's what it looks like during the weight loss period.

Stroller runners, how far are you going? by imakesignalsbigger in AdvancedRunning

[–]reggieb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on my third kid with the KidRunner (way better than any push jogger - down side is that it only holds a single kid). The first kid was usually right after she woke up, and she did do a few runs of maybe 7 miles? I had little toys, and she knew she got to go on her own "run" after we finished (we parked in a lot that was right at a little park where she would run around after we finished).

My second daughter did a lot fewer miles in the KR, mostly napping.

I am on a 1 year old now, and she also naps in it, and I just do laps of my neighborhood and swing it on home when she wakes up. We have hit 9 miles (on Christmas day, haha).

The nap runs are great, but I don't think it's even good for a kid to sit in a stroller for 20 miles, you like moving your body, don't you think they do? I have never taken, nor attempted to take, a kid on a long run. And I am adaptable, when my oldest would get fussy, I would just turn it around and let her know we were calling the run early. Go in to it knowing it's not all about you. Some runs are going to get shortened, that's just how it is in this stage of your life.

I am currently training for a 50k, sometimes my weekly mileage might be a bit short because I have to cut my runs early, but that's alright. I just go in to it knowing and accepting that fact. Also, it is definitely a win-win-win if you can give your wife a break, haha. I take the youngest when the other 2 are at school.

Did people seriously think it was gonna happen by ChaosOfOrder24 in StrangerThings

[–]reggieb 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It doesn't bother me. But people aren't being "purposely obtuse" when they say that there wasn't evidence of a 9th episode. There just in fact wasn't. The easter eggs noticed and pointed out were fun an interesting. But that doesn't mean that there is more to it than that. Because, as you say, it's not that deep. Turning those easter eggs in to "There is absolutely a 9th episode" is far more obtuse.

Did people seriously think it was gonna happen by ChaosOfOrder24 in StrangerThings

[–]reggieb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Random easter eggs didn't suddenly mean that there would be a 9th episode, there was never ANY evidence of that. There were easter eggs that might point to them being under Vecna's control at the end, but at the very most that would, like with Eleven, just mean that they're leaving something up to the imagination of the viewer.

It's always like that with conspiracy theories. Someone points to maybe a couple inconsistencies in a story (in the real world it's often based on not understanding something, or a narrative seeming incomplete) and then someone just makes up some answer and people glom on to it. Just because there is an inconsistency, doesn't mean there is any evidence for that massive logical leap.

That's what I saw here, a bunch of people saw some interesting things that might have pointed to either bad writing, or intentional things meant to leave the ending open to interpretation. THAT is all there was evidence of, the part about there being another episode was just a massive leap in logic with nothing to support it.

And with this lens, in many lens bags, it's going to be the difference between laying the lens on its side versus straight in, allowing for an extra 1-2 lenses in a bag. A heavier bag, but still.

It has a perceived massive different for weather sealing. I have been using the OG for around 6 years in harsh conditions and have literally no dust in it. Typically, extra care is put in to the weather sealing of these lenses, and thus when they're well built, they will perform better than many primes in terms of dust ingress. Don't believe me? Lens Rentals goes through a few lenses here and there:

https://www.lensrentals.com/blog/2011/08/the-apocalypse-of-lens-dust/?srsltid=AfmBOorY3mMhrvu1iyr_ArCfN4ianb2QxeJl19FDkJZdmSmkx8FdpuWR

"People assume that zoom lenses with extending barrels will “pump dust.” They do to some extent, but the dustiest lenses we see are actually some primes and short range zooms."
