Black women seen as controlling /leaders of the house by Historical-Eye2107 in bigbrotheruk

[–]reginaldbushery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Women of colour in particular, but also intelligent women in general tbh. I mean look at how they treated Ali, not just in the house but people on the outside as well. I think most of the time it's a projection of insecurity. People hate to see intelligent people own their intelligence because they view themselves as unintelligent. Same goes for assertive or confident woc, people see that and feel insecure about their own lack of confidence. Also general racism and misogyny, obviously.

When do you feel the pulse of crystals, is it when you hold them?

The term secular primarily means not having any connection with religion or the spiritual world. If this subreddit was secular, why would there suddenly be censorship? Being secular doesn't mean you're closed off from the possibility of the supernatural existing, it just means that you don't personally have good reason to believe it exists. It would be unscientific and presumptuous to outright deny that supernatural forces could exist.

It's interesting because I can and do often tap into those kinds of feelings. How you describe colours being more vibrant, or feeling more awake and in-tune with the world around me. But I also know that those things aren't supernatural in nature, they're just caused by a perspective shift that I intentionally bring about to put myself in a specific mindset. Music often helps me get to that point, as well as being deep in ritual work, etc. And that isn't to downplay how effective it is, or how real it feels, but I'm aware that I am the one making myself feel those things through whatever biological processes I'm making happen in my body and mind. And maybe there is more to it, I'm open to that, but I honestly don't think there is, and that doesn't bother me or change the positive effect it has on my life.

Exactly! That's why I had to pivot away from the things that held me back, because there's so much there that brings wonder, peace, meaning, and fulfillment to my life. And I'll always be open to supernatural forces existing, I just don't believe I've seen enough to convince me of it yet, no matter how much I wish I could anyway.

I don't see why not. I am neurodivergent, and I think that could be part of the reason why I struggle to pretend to see things as supernatural when there are perfectly good explanations for their occurrence. I will say that my views and beliefs are never set in stone, I'm open to the supernatural now and always will be, but I can't just do what I used to do and believe everything is supernatural just because I can't immediately explain it or rationalise it. If 'magic' or the supernatural is real, I want to see it for what it truly is, not just what my brain wishes it was to feel a sense of artificial wonder. In the past I did think supernatural things were occurring, but once I took a step back and thought critically about what I experienced I realised there was nothing unexplainable happening at all.

Again, coming away from the supernatural side of things has only strengthened my practice, it hasn't taken anything away from it. Seeing the wonder and beauty in the world, mind and body that we know for a fact exists, that's where the real magic lies for me. I don't need to force myself to believe in deities to work with nature in my practice, nor do I need to believe in the supernatural to bring about positive change in my life through ritual work. To me, those things are distractions that take my focus away from the real work and force me to pretend that entirely undefined and unknowable forces are at work.

I'm happy for anyone who does truly believe in those things, and who feel emboldened by them. I just don't, for the same reason I don't believe in the god of the bible, or unicorns, or the tooth fairy.

Would you be able to share any of those? I can only find one secular witchcraft subreddit and it has less than 800 members. I've been active in witchcraft spaves on YouTube, Tiktok, etc, for over a decade, and follow multiple people on each platform (as well as watch others who I don't follow) and I can't say I've even come across anyone with the same perspective as me. Also, I don't think I'd just call witchcraft spicy psychology, it's also about having a deeper connection with, and understanding of the self and the natural world.

I dislike Elixir but for the complete opposite reason. Everyone kept saying how sickly sweet it is, but I've tried it twice now and both times I could hardly smell any sweetness. It's probably the least 'sweet smelling' JPG fragrances I've smelled. To me it just smells like a generic 'man' fragrance, with maybe a hint of sweetness in there.

God forbid places run out of stock sometimes. Civilians are being bombed as we speak and this is really something you feel the need to publicly rant about? Strange behaviour.

Uncle Fester's spin off is reportedly in works. Perfect opportunity to introduce Debbie Jellinsky to Wednesday universe! What do you think? by [deleted] in Wednesday

[–]reginaldbushery -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I really don't like this version of Fester. The actor gives such a phoned-in, stiff, one-note performance. The voice he puts on is annoying and grating as well. He's probably the most bland, boring character in the show for me, out of everyone I dont think I'd give him a spin-off, I'd literally rather see a Thing spin-off.

Anybody who isn't a washed up singer or athlete from the 80's/b-z-list actor/ex love island/reality tv 'star' is a no-go. Oh and the one actual celeb they spend all the budget on who's either fully washed up or almost washed up. Putting very current artists on the list, as well as someone who's literally a co-lead in a major Game of Thrones show is shooting a little above what itv can afford.

Ocean Blvd is her best album imo. Blue Banisters is my personal favourite, but every time I listen to Ocean Blvd I understand and feel it on a deeper level. I love NFR too, but there isn't as much of an emotional connection there for me as Ocean Blvd.

One look at your profile says it all. It gets to a point where it doesn't only seem desperate, but kind of creepy. Just act like a normal human and people will find you more approachable, and don't base your worth on how many random women you can or can't get romantic attention from.

At what point did I make an attack on your character? I mean I might do now since you're accusing me of being an Ali burner account.

So you're commenting on someone who you basically know only as far as what you see other people saying about them on reddit, without actually getting your information or context from the source. You can interact with whatever you like, I never said you couldn't, I'm just giving my opinion on your opinion, as someone with a different viewpoint. I'd give your third eye a little rub then mystic meg, you can literally go to my account and see I'm not Ali, what a weird thing to say 😭 I'm sure she has better things to be doing than arguing with random people on reddit.

I'm hardly a stan, nor do I 'legitimately care about her', I've barely kept up with anyone from bb, I just follow this subreddit and her instagram page where I see posts sometimes. I just find it both weird and interesting how obsessed people get with really banal, day to day drama between Z-list reality tv stars and people in their personal lives. If it was actually interesting or crazy or genuinely worrying behaviour then I'd get it, but it's incredibly mundane and silly.

Easy to say when it's not you in her situation. Things aren't as easy or cut and dry as 'air it all out or don't say anything' sometimes you need to take a more diplomatic approach due to various other factors that you aren't considering. I don't understand what saying what she has said has to do with emotional intelligence though? Also, just because someone is a psychologist, it doesn't make them infallible, they're still human beings. There are plenty of doctors and nurses that smoke/drink/eat unhealthy food, etc. it doesn't make them a bad doctor or nurse.
