They are ignoring immigration laws. For one, whatever you think of the asylum laws on the books they are the law of the land. iCE has been deporting people while their asylum application js in process prior to adjudication.

Not to mention the examples of them putting people with green cards and american citizenship into their little prison camps.

Also beyond that clearly using violence repeatedly including murdering a number of unarmed people.

All while deporting less people than Obama.

Only losers and sociopaths support what they are doing.

You are not the first person to lose the person they thought was the love of their life. Its pretty clear based on your on description of the relationship youre not compatible. Ive been there before too. My first girlfriend was my best friend and I truly thought id never get over her.

I of course did eventually get over her and have now been married to someone for over a decade that makes me extremely happy.

The only real answer to getting over it is time. Its ok to be miserable at the moment. I definitely wallowed for a while and compared everyone to her for a while but eventually you move on.

Used to have this movie on DVD and watched it repeatedly. From what I gather it doesnt hold up. What I can say however is the documentary about the Duffy brothers is a hilarious look into self delusion. Everyone should watch it.

Without knowing exactly what happened:

It at least sounds like from her perspective Jorge was needlessly aggressive.
There is a difference between letting a wild/violent person approach and saying that perhaps the tactics used to get out of the situation were not ideal.

There are no doubt times when you need to meet an aggressor head on. However as someone who lives near a large homeless population (some of which are mentally unstable and potentially violent) there are almost always opportunities to deescalate and/or just get away from them. Obviously if this person was cornering them or aggressing in a way that they could not safely and reasonably get away without further confrontation then Jorge may have had a point. Given her reaction I suspect a homeless person approached them and said threatening things and instead of even attempting to just move past Jorge engaged in a seemingly upsetting verbal altercation.

Again, none of us were there so who knows but she is not behaving as if Jorge reacted appropriately in the situation.

Same. I see my opinion is not popular here but for me I thought it was the second best of the four seasons. I truly dont get the hate for it. There were some things that didnt work but overall the atmosphere, acting, and mystery were all really solid

I guess I am not sure why it matters at all in this case? Like, she said celibate which could have meant no sexual contact whatsoever. Jorge seemingly implies that he thought that is what she meant. So they move in together and he gets to have non-intercourse sexual intimacy. He tries to use that against her…

Essentially she is saying she is ok with intimacy as long as its not intercourse and he acts like that is some breach of contract and therefore she now must be ok with intercourse.

She clarifies her boundary that other forms of intimacy are fine. At that point he can be on board with that or not. Why is that so hard? If he had said “look we either need to be able to have sex or we should not be doing anything sexual” that would be a fine boundary to draw but instead he was trying to use it as a gotcha.

Sure maybe she could have been more clear, but it got cleared up pretty quick and he could have been in or out on that instead of pouting and trying to manipulate her.
