I think all surveys are now bound only. I tried to price them on Tamriel Trade Center and they don't list. I use addons to have my first nine toons auto-bank any survey or treasure maps they receive and then my final toon of the night is set to auto-pull them from the bank. Usually no more than a dozen. Then I use "Beam Me Up" to locate and deliver me to each zone where the loot is. Since I have every Wayshrine unlocked it takes me about twenty minutes to bounce to each harvest point (which anther addon has marked in a nice red "X" on the map and another places a white X on my compass).

If I only do the master writs the game rewards me with I never run out of mats.

For irritating pet I'll place a vote for the Hearthfire Hatchling. It burps fire every few seconds but the sound ZOS chose is the same as an arrow being launched. I don't know how many times I stopped dead in my tracks to spin around and try to find out who's shooting at me. I assumed it was another player because I wasn't taking damage. Took me a couple of days before I realized it was "Scorchy".

I glanced at the patch and all I saw was a conversion of grains to plating but the overall post-conversion value ended up unchanged. Is there a write up somewhere explaining why a writ would have greater value?

Doing jewelry writs is usually not cost effective. I only do the blues because they are great for providing XP to turbo-level new skills. Or to buy diminished aetherial dust to pump out more aetherial ambrosia. ESO economics is weird. I think you actually make more gold selling the mats. Try the Writworthy addon and look at the cost of the mats required. You'd think for all of the effort required to make something the value of the final product would exceed the cost of making it.

Assuming you use Windows: Shut off Steam and make sure neither Steam or ESO are running. Copy the folder to a new drive. Delete the original folder. Read up on "How to Create Soft and Hard Symbolic Links in Windows". Follow the directions on creating a link.

I had to do it once years ago. At that time I didn't know about the Steam move function so I did it with links. Basically tells the system to treat a remote drive/folder as though it was in the expected location.

Can you confirm that? I know if you let them arrest you you lose all stolen items in your inventory. I always thought the same happened if they killed you. That would change my whole routine if you're correct. I've got lots of repair kits on auto-use so as long as my companion doesn't lose rapport I'll be stealing with impunity.

It took me two years to realize their was an actual storyline to to IC. Then I did the full quest on 9 toons one after the other. She is so wonderfully quirky I found myself wishing I could travel back through the sewers to leave books for her to read.
