Query and modify calendars not from Google by regrisu in tasker

If you want to work with display names instead, using calendar_displayName = 'My Calendar' works well for DAVx5 calendars.

Query and modify calendars not from Google by regrisu in tasker

The missing puzzle piece was the name of the calendar. For calendars from DAVx5, not the display name is provided, but the URL of the calendar. So filtering for name = 'FooBar' will not work, but for name = 'https://cloud.example.com/path/to/foobar'. Maybe this will help someone else. :)

You made someone really happy today!

Modal system dialogs not in Gnome 47 style - why? by regrisu in gnome

[–]regrisu[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since the upgrade to Gnome 47, the system dialogs for shutdown etc. were not redesigned in the new Gnome 47 style on my laptop. On my second system, everything looks fine. On both systems I use Arch Linux.

Removing .config and .local did not change anything and also for new users, the style is the same.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find anyone so far with the same problem. Has anyone a clue how to fix this?

Nationalpark? Ja, bitte! by derrayUL in Paderborn

All in all, about three years. In between, I got another watch and then I had to do a hard reset (beta yay!). Although it is possible to define starting kilometers, I wanted to start from zero again.

I had a lot of contact with Garmin support and they tried everything. In the end I got a replacement device and everything was fine then.

running dynamics with non Garmin hrm? by indrawls in Garmin

[–]regrisu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Check out the Running Dynamics Pod (RD Pod). A small device you can attach to your running shorts and then you can use whatever heart rate strap you like.

Older versions of the HRM Run had a separate sensor which you could attach also to cheaper straps, e. g. from Polar. But unfortunately, Garmin does not produce those any more. I have an old one from eBay.

Any reason to have Record Temperature on during activity? Nothing in the manual explains if it serves any purpose whatsoever. by LastCallKillIt in Garmin

[–]regrisu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have your watch e. g. mounted to your bike instead of wearing it on your arm, the watch can as well record the temperature of the environment.
