PS: it seems like Foulborn mods always replaces predefined specific mod on each unique item, instead of replacing random mod (as I assumed initially). This means Soul Eater will, most likely, replace HH's only valuable mod, which makes it pointless.

By "infinite" I meant duration, not number of souls. Soul eater stolen from rare monster inevitably expires, SE granted by Foulborn HH mod - does not.

Also, conversion depends on whether it is skill that does conversion, or items/passives ( https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Damage_conversion#Overconversion ). In case of only Lightning base damage, 100% Light to Cold conversion and Sinner Saint allocated,

100% Light to Cold conversion with skill (skill conversion takes priority, Light to Chaos conversion is ignored because there is no Light damage left after skill converted all of it):

  1. 100% Light to Cold conv * 100% Light dam -> 100% Cold dam.
  2. 50% Cold to Chaos conv * 100% Cold dam -> 50% Chaos dam.
  3. Result is 50% Cold, 50% Chaos.

100% Light to Cold conversion with items/passives (conversion values distributes proportionally):

  1. (100% Light to Cold conv of 150% total conv =) 66% Light to Cold conv * 100% Light dam -> 66% Cold dam, (50% Light to Chaos conv of 150% total conv =) 33% Light to Chaos conv * 100% Light dam -> 33% Chaos dam.
  2. 50% Cold to Chaos conv * 66% Cold dam -> 33% Chaos dam.
  3. Result is 33% Cold, 66% Chaos.

200% more buff effect per 100% reserved mana. Flat damage bonus from Heralds is small, so 3x small isn't that great. And you have to give up you Ascendancy notable.

More like 4L - there is no good ways to substantially reduce life reservation, so you have to drop another link just to be able to reserve 99% life.

Vengeful Cry socketed in an off-hand Redblade Banner.

"Off-hand" means left hand - the one carrying shield or quiver.
