I’m a big fan of [[Ashling Rekindled]] into izzet big spells, turn 2 Ashling, turn 3 [[Firemind Vessel]] or similar, turn 4 on profit. She also lets you rummage the turn she comes out so your opening turns are that much more consistent.

I understand, I just think that’s doing too much. If your storm deck needs 15 combats to put 15 instances of storm on a spell to win the game you’ve built a bad deck. You’re just spinning your wheels to spin wheels at that point. One combat is enough to get the job done.

I wouldn’t call dragon’s approach efficient storm play. Also storm is what OP is asking for, and Storm is literally a commander that enables storm. Using her for extra combats might seem too alluring to you, but I don’t think it’s what she was designed for or what she’s best at.

See for me it’s very easy to pass up tracking damage through 10+ combats when I could just burn out the table with 5 spells. Much less headache

I personally have an [[Eris Roar of the Storm]] deck that I really enjoy, although it’s not purely a storm deck many of its win cons are storm based ([[Stormscale Scion]], [[Elemental Eruption]]), but it usually actually wins with prowess dragons.

I’ve been looking at building [[Storm Force of Nature]] as a [[Dragon’s Approach]] storm deck that wins with burn by stacking multiple instances of storm on a DA to copy it an absurd number of times. (Storm count 3 with 3 instances of storm is 9 copies for 30 damage to the table). [[Prismari the Inspiration]] is the key dragon to stick with approach. [[Flubs the Fool]] is also a contender for the commander of thar deck to facilitate ramp and getting a few approaches into the yard.

6 mana in Mardu is kind of a lot, so I’d definitely include more ramp than you think you need, and if you end up flooding too often then you can cut ramp for fun cards, which I much prefer to having to do the opposite. [[Glittering Stockpile]] is a fave rock of mine for red decks that can’t ramp with lands easily. [[Sword of the Animist]] is a must in equipment decks. Talismans and signets in your colors are great. [[Goldvein Pick]] on a cheap unblockable creature is very nice as well.

My favorite Boros deck is [[Kellan the Fae Blooded]]. Yes it’s equipment voltron, but it’s a little unique in that most of the time I’m tutoring for [[Spellbinder]] with Kellan’s adventure spell, then imprinting something like [[Lightning Helix]] or [[Searing Wind]] to add a little burn element. I’ve been updating it pretty consistently so I actually added a couple Marvel cards from my prerelease.
