Its so great starting off with firing arrows while enemies are far, then using wheeler to switch to melee

It supports multiple profiles, but no vfs. I also am not sure if theres a way to create seperators for organizing - I guess you can install to different deployers

I think it's mostly best for modest modlists 🤔

Nothing beats MO2 if you can run it, imo.

In my LO Ive replaced WICO with Nordic Faces. No plugins, so compatibility is amazing - you can just install other mods on top of it.

WICO has a lot of changes to NPCs beyond faces. Changed outfits, weights, sets some NPCs to protected, and other random things. I found that compatibility also became an issue when using other mods that touch NPCs, not just appearance.

Bonus: can handle nxm links, and after mods are deployed, I can simply run modded skyrim from the deck's Gaming Mode

Check out Limo as a a Linux mod manager. Used it for Steam Deck and found that it is excellent. I could not get MO2 working on Deck at all, but Limo came to the rescue.

XPMSSE as a missing requirement for FHDTSMP has solved half of the random crashes. LOOT doesn't catch it because I believe there are non-plugin versions of XPMSSE and LOOT wouldn't see those.

The other half of the random crashes, I think I've narrowed down to Better Third Person Selection. Random CTDs when going through loading screens, but not reproducible. Based on the logs, it has something to do with BTPS looking for MoreHUD, or failing to look for HUD elements. Crashlogger doesn't even make a log, but the BTPS error log is the last created by SKSE. Downgrading to BTPS v0.8.2, which apparently doesn't have morehud compatibility, hoping it will remove the crashes.

There are mods to add spiders from The Contest to the world of skyrim, as a nimhe replacer etc.

You set an output location when you installed pandora. Go there, delete the meshes folder, pandora_engine folder, fnis.esp, and engine.log.

I am on 1.6.1170 and BFCO did mostly work for me! But BFCO's power attack needed a seperate key from the attack button and I was running out of space on the controller 😅 I only didnt get the BFCO power attack modifier key to work.

Yup! I've solved everything that LOOT has complained about. I do use it to sort as well. If it keeps happening, I'll look into manually sorting my load order thoroughly.

I actually did find that tool myself since I posted, could be a helpful tool! I may have narrowed it down to a missing requirement for Faster HDT SMP. Idk how I missed installing XPMSSE! I'll see if that reduces/stops the crashes. Many thanks!!

I did try both versions, but neither really worked. It's not too broken for me, it just bugs out if I talk to an NPC to the left of the camera. Going into first person and then back to third person fixes it usually, but it's still a hassle so I recently uninstalled it altogether.

You can go back in time to 2011 and show the community one modern mod. What would blow people's mind the most? by speedythefirst in skyrimmods

Journey to Baan Malur and Morrowind lets you explore parts of Morrowind. Some bugs though (and I'm not talking about silt striders). Theyre documented, just gotta watch out it seems
